A Hispanic Mayor in the Body of Christ? 2/7/2005 3:08:12 AM
Who will represent the hope and strength of the smallest and most oppressed residents? Following is a list of candidates who have filed to run in the April 2005 election: MAYOR Raymond E. Chapman Henry Garrett Rolando P. Garza Ray Madrigal DISTRICT 1 Sherry Dunlap Bill Kelly Jason Luby, Jr. DISTRICT 2 Javier D. Colmenero John Edward Marez DISTRICT 3 Jesse Noyola E. “Emilio” Bolden, I DISTRICT 4 Joe Farah Cliff Harris Mark Scott DISTRICT 5 Robert C Cagle Rex A. Kinnison Milan G. Marinkovich AT LARGE Abel Alonzo George Jay Balli Betty Black Leo Botello Brent Chesney Melody Cooper Evelyn “Eve” Coppola Jerry Garcia John B. Martinez Gloria Perez (City of Corpus Christi ) Shall we discuss the pros & cons of these candidates? Our City Council presently does not represent the common people! Not all but many on the Council are elitist and have diverse business interest to further for themselves in the Body of Christ. Our Mayor is not a strong Mayor by job description but we need to have representation in the interest of the common people.

If the Mexicans . . . 2/7/2005 5:49:28 AM
. . . want a Mexican mayor they are not going about it the right way. They need to select a single Mexican candidate and then encourage several gringos to run. Garret is gonna clean their clock this go-round.

Henry is an alright man. It is just the possibility that two hispanic candidates are running. Also there are city council positions to revamp. I know nothing about any of the men running for mayor except Garret. Right now it looks like he is a shoe in for Mayor.

No, I am not saying I would not vote for a hispanic. I''m saying I won''t vote for Henry or any incumbent who voted for the acceptance of the Matricula Consular card and the Smoking ban. Both of those votes were 9-0.

All I will say is that I will only be giving the newcomers a chance. Nobody serving now is getting my vote either. I thought Melody Cooper was a breath of fresh air when she ran and made it in but, I see she is only ""playing the same game"" as the rest were and are. I''d vote for a Mexican to be Mayor with no problem. I nominate my good friend Alex Ramirez for the position. Best regards--C.

C.evans, do you remember Melody when she was on the city council previously? She was part of the ""visionaries"" (or lack thereof) who saddled us with the pipeline we voted against! Her votes on the matricular counsular card and smoking ban issues were very predictable. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.

EVW What do we know about the candidates that are running? 2/8/2005 5:30:01 PM
So all of the incumbents are not an option do to thier inept representation of us. Not to mention their own agendas and business interest being primary? With the remainder; is there any intel on these candidates? Also, I beleive it is close minded to vote based on whether the candidate is republican or democrat or independent for that matter! WE HAVE MORE INTELLECT THAN TO VOTE FOR A STEREOTYPIC LABEL! Here in South Texas even some Republicans ""label"" themselves as democrats due to the difficulty to draw votes.

feel sorry for the voters of c.c., incumbents are not worthy in this race.until c.c. breaks the mold and get business interests out of the political arena, the citizens of c.c. will be not be served. anyone notice that the county and the city seem to elect business leaders who LOOK out for number 1? corpus really needs to change their form of government to a strong mayor type government. as you can see we have 9 chiefs and no indians. one CEO

They have been planning that since before they Annexed a part of Kleberg Co 2/9/2005 12:25:15 AM
Look into it. They held the meeting at Port Royal. Then look and see who is profiting. Also there is a road in Kleberg County that goes straight from Kingsville to the back side of Flour Bluff. It will not be on the map. I think it has something to do with tony Canales & BNP drilling, King Ranch, Armstrongs & the National Park Service along with local ""profiteers"" with this vision and well planned scheme.

Jaime-Re: Road to Kingsville to Bluff 2/9/2005 12:01:43 AM
Jaime, where does or would this road intersect in Flour Bluff? It would have to be somewhere on Yorktown. Is it the Waldron ""dead end""?
Jaime KenedenoPosts: 1468

Re: Jaime-Re: Road to Kingsville to Bluff 2/9/2005 12:35:25 AM
It is a Kleberg County road and the County residents are not allowed to use it. Most do not even know of it. The military & law enforcement agencies use it. I do not know who built it. I also know it has something to do with the Black Helicopters which are said to have identification consistent with the FBI. The road I think is for a group of elites. Maybe they are planning to build houses on the island and travel back & forth to work. Kind of like a suburb? I know Kleberg County would have never given up territory unless there was a big interest in it for them (referring to the annexation). Kind of strange the guy who owned it is dead and it is a trust way up north I think in New York. You will need a helicopter or recent aerial photograph to confirm. I have confirmation only through reliable sources. I do know has been planned for years and have read the Economic development minutes referring to this. It was around the same time they were testing for the feasibility of a Bombing range at La Parra in Kenedy County. Gary Bushell, Dick Messbarger, Gen Cisneros & John Hubert would be in the know regarding this subject. Pete De La Garza Kleberg County statuatory judge knows also. Lomas? CC city Council has to know something?

The race of a candidate is totally a non-issue. I am interested in their ideas, their positions on the issues and their interpretation of the Constitution. If someone is green with purple polka dots, they will get my vote if I agree with them on the issues.

My Sentiments also Mark! 2/9/2005 12:39:28 AM
So who are these leaders who can lead with a trueness. First I understand the signifigance of a brown mayor who is true to the people not his people or those people the people as one race. If he is true as if we are one race (which we are) then it does not matter if the person is a burgundy woman 19 ft tall or a look a like of Elvis. But yes it will soothe souls and lull some to sleep if we get a brown mayor. It will also wake up silent citizens who were happy with the status quo and not critical before. So the main thing is for the leaders to be true to the people they represent. What are our choices with respect to these candidates. I have got no information on any one including Garrett. Not only in Corpus Christi but throughout South Texas.

There is no excuse for anyone who has access to a computer to say they have ""no information on any one including Garrett"". Between the internet, newspaper, talk radio, public forums, civic groups, public records and the multitude of sources I didn''t list, there is just no way that anyone can say they don''t know about the candidates running.

Smoking Ban vs Tobacco Ban 2/4/2005 12:31:31 AM
I do not like eating in a restaurant with tobacco smoke in the air. But I do not agree with the City Council or Rick Haley with regard to the smoking ban per se. The Tobacco Ban if it were the only stopping smoking in a restaurant and we can eat without our olfactories being effected as well as the taste of our food we are trying to enjoy. Then fine, everybody respect everybody at the dinner table. That is not what the arguement is about. It is about a government entity one step closer to our living room. Sure we cannot do anything illegal in our privacy (theoretically). But surely we can smoke and drink in our home. If we have children or babies it is very inconsiderate to smoke inside our house. Unless all are smokers in a home, smoking outside is an act of respect. A smoker usually smokes the tobacco independently (does not share)but the smoke is disgarded as everyone's. Most considerate adults step outside to smoke while at their home. If tobacco was illegal in our city or county then there would be no smoking in our restaurants as well as everywhere else. tHE RESTARAUNTS ARE BEING SINGLED OUT. Make it a dry county with respect to the tobacco? Alcohol? There are still countys that are dry in Texas. Nobody is serving alcohol because it is illegal in those countys. I would supporta "dry" county with respect to tobacco but never to discriminate against a certain sector of the economy and these certain business person's livelihood as well as setting a precedent with respect to our civil liberties inherently.

Re: Smoking Ban vs Tobacco Ban 2/4/2005 1:02:51 AM
As I posted previously, I do not agree with the ban, but these groups will not get it overturned in federal court. Forcing a private business to ban smoking is something that the government at any level should not do, but the courts don''t agree with me. (Not that I''m not used to that.) One line of reasoning goes like this: The government has the power to license businesses that serve food or drink because there are public health issues involved. The Supreme court has held that even when constitutional liberties are involved the state may use its licensing laws to impose conditions on the granting of that license where it can show a substantial public interest is also present. Since smoking is a public health issue in which the government has a substantial interest it may impose a no smoking rule as a condition of granting the license. Another approach is to regard no smoking laws as involving health and safety of the workplace in regard to the employees. Thus banning smoking protects servers just like any other safety regulation. There are other approaches but, no matter which one is used, the courts haven''t seen fit to find them inappropriate. Regardless of how we feel on the issue, if the loons at city hall decide on banning smoking outright, there is not a thing we can do...except to remember their actions come election day. But as for the federal courts, the city''s position has already been solidified by the highest court in the land.

Look, we don't mind a weekly fictional piece but daily onslaughts of "stream of consciousness" rantings about barrio life (with no clear purpose or message) is not what this forum at EVW is about. Don't come here to promote your own website. We are here for free speech, but not free ADVERTISING. If you cant get traffic to your website maybe check your content. soychicano.com is a ethnic site, that's fine. However IT IS the moral equivalent of IAMWHITE.COM ..... Got it? As a sidenote; I can never understand why hispanics think their loyalty lies with MEXICO when the mexican governemt has done nothing for them. The mexican govt has been clearly recognized as a corrupt government. Millions of mexican brothers flee their homeland every year to attempt entry to the US. Some die in the process. And we have knuckleheads proudly flying the mexican flag. They think Cinco de Mayo is more important of a holiday the July the 4th. They are misguided individuals.

CCHWNN PLAGERISM FOUND 2/18/2005 5:26:14 PM
OK, lucky for us, mr. chicano cable hot wired news network puts his work all over the place, and inundated us with post after post after post, with various links to find it all. so after I pointed out his plagerism his post suddenly dissapered off this site... wonder why? Did you know that if you were to fart consistently for 6 years and 9 months, enough gas is produced to create the energy of an atomic bomb. (Now that’s more like it!)..... .....A pig’s orgasm lasts 30 minutes. (In my next life, I want to be a pig.) And then I found out that some lions mate over 50 times a day. (I still want to be a pig in my next life…quality over quantity) And heck I didn’t really know that humans and dolphins are the only species that have sex for pleasure. (What about that pig)? I just keep thinking about that darn pig.... ... Banging your head against a wall uses 150 calories an hour. (Do not try this at home… maybe at work.)... All that can be found WORD FOR WORD HERE: http://www.englishforums.com/ShowPost.aspx?PostID=68841 Don't worry chicono boy... MANY other websites simply copy and pasted and didn't site their origin... your not the only plageriser on the net... But your the only one I found that worked it WORD FOR WORD into "original" fiction.

I am sure there are a high percentage of people who enter the profession with a sense that they just want to protect the common man or some such other honorable ideal. I doubt that all that many go into it to be ambulance chasers, but I am sure that there are a few with no scruples at all, just looking for an easy buck. Unfortunately, it is the system itself which undermines any lofty ideals that may be in their minds. After a few years, those ideals are replaced with a jaded outlook on the justice system and humanity itself.

We would be hard pressed to find a more tyrannical piece of legislation. I do not trust any politician who would endorse this like Rep. Filner did, do you?

oh hell i dont know what all that ammo crap means and alli know is he probably wants to insure the terrorists dont accidently acquire the transfer rights to our ammo? buti know that if we dont take care of those that have served their country then we will probably have to force a draft on those that for sure have no desire to serve their country 3 billion dollars extra to service the veterans that require treatment after combat and return home is a prerequisite to healing unless of course their is no one to bring home which i for one have no intention of letting happen! is that how its gonna be?

Dannointed1, I am not saying his proposal for veterans is bad, I have not seen it. All I am saying is if he so willingly violates his sworn oath of office to support the legislation I showed you, we had better check to see what this proposal contains. You would do yourself a great service to be more aware of politicians and that ""ammo crap"" as you put it. There is no better way to guage if a politician will do the only job they are sworn to do: to uphold and defend the Constitution against all enemies foriegn and domestic. I am not trying to be trite, just bringing up an important point to consider that we dismiss at our peril. Thanks, Mark

Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: BOB FILNER (D) CALIFORNIA 3/19/2005 8:22:20 AM
The best way to ensure our weapons are not used against us is to adhere by the literal interpretation of the Second Amendment whereby any perp, be they terrorist or criminal, would have to factor the avarage American citizen can employ SUPERIOR FIREPOWER upon those who wish them harm, thus greatly diminishing any chance their attack would be successful. If the perp is intent on suicide, then the only hope is to employ superior firepower. Superior firepower=assault rifle with large capacity magazines

Shivo was encouraged to ""get on with his life"" by Terri''s parents. He spent the first three years after she had her heart attack caused by here ""strange"" diet caring for her even going to school and becoming a nurse. How many ""outside"" kids do you have?

good friday starvation of an innocent 3/24/2005 5:16:33 AM
it amazes me that this "husband" has been trying to condemn his "wife" since 1990 to death she refused to die "legally speaking" and he has retained his legally "husband" monniker that is making the term "husband" a joke! men- would you willing let your wife STARVE to death when you have the power to feed her? if you look at the timeline the husband has gone out of his way to try and kill his "wife" with the legal community's blessing as well as the medical community's why the forced starvation?when cancer pacients often die because they can not eat? the zealousness that this"husband" has legally asserted his rights as a "husband" is to find a legal reason NOT TO SAVE HER BUT TO GET RID OF HER!

Re: good friday starvation of an innocent 3/24/2005 8:23:16 AM
why the forced starvation? Because to ""put her down"" humainly would be assisted suicide... and people have hard times dealing with death... so they let her suffer so they don''t feel bad. men- would you willing let your wife STARVE to death when you have the power to feed her? If I was this guy, and I KNEW my wife didn''t want to live like that... I''d pull a Clint Eastwood, sneak in the room and do it quickly and painlessly myself. screw all those gutless doctors making her suffer just so they don''t feel bad.

The money has run out for lawyers. It is time for Terri to die. I look into her eyes and this is what she told me. Actually, I think that they should allow all these people who are protesting outside the hospice to take charge of Terri''s care, watch her 24 hours a day, wipe her ass, change her diapers. I wonder how long they would last before they went on to another ""cause"" to meddle in.

There will be a next, if we vote the same city leaders hence ABI initiative. Maybe it means nothing until Melody Cooper decides she would now like to retaliate against your interest because you take a stand against the next City ordinance that does effect you. Now to the Bair''s Den: It is about the Zoning. It used to be Black Diamond Oyster Bar. Was it a restaurant or a bar? It was Okay to conduct business the complete time while Black Diamond Oyster BAR operated there and the Bairs Den has operated in the same building for many years as well. Now the City has used the Smoking issue to bully him.Though the city can collect his taxes they want to harrass him out of self interest. The Man took a stand on the front line (political & as a property owner) and they want to single him out before more of us stand up. If they really are concerned about the area they need to look at the hidden crimes and corruption just down the street. Somehow nobody ever looks for Gracida in the 3rd court of appeals (Austin). Which is worse? I ask this of the ones who are MODIFYING (Mr Bair''s & his employees) JOB OPPORTUNITYS! TWC?????

Why name Tx A&I Nursery after Marc Cisneros? 4/4/2005 2:32:17 AM
What a Slap in the Face to Johnnie Mae Haun, Lisa Turcotte, & Miss Maria! I do not remember Mrs. Haun, but if she started this wonderful program; I can understand how Miss Lisa & Miss Maria are elated to realize the dreams their labor of love built. For the last 25 years Lisa Turcotte & Miss Maria have created a educational & loving environment. The kids thrive in the environment. The Parents are educated as well. Not educated from seminars but from firm, short & simple redirection. Potty training was a simple task! I would like to express the gratitude from my family to these three ladies. Thank you Miss Lisa! Thank you Miss Maria! My little girl came home talking and singing everyday. She recited the Pledge of Allegiance & was fully potty trained @ 18 months old. She had three imaginary friends that drove a Monte Carlo and they lived in South Africa. She always was tryin to do her homework. Her favorite was the Calculus homework. I remember there was not Ten Little Indians but ten little indian boys & girls. Remember this one? There was a little peanut sitting on the track His heart was all a flutter Along came a train The nine fifteen CHOO!! CHOO!! PEANUT BUTTER??????

Pope John Paull II: An Exemplary Mandate in his Ascension!4/4/2005 12:11 AM
This Pope moved mountains! The very mountains where the littlest soveriegn country resides. 109 acres, ~ 900 citizens, a soup kitchen for the poor, a police force and 100 or so Swiss Guard. Vatican City cringed at the steadfast integrity and purification Pope John Paul II represented and commanded. His final years are not representative of his early and middle years. This man told "emperors they were indeed naked". Then he would offer options where he could help them design a whole new ("more pure") wardrobe. I am very proud for this man and the Catholic Church for which he dedicated his whole life. He made huge strides toward the purification only to be stifled in his final years. His little changes in attitude and direction were not little like they seemed but, very instrumental to a healing of the Church that must be sterilized first. We are getting closer everyday to a more empirical Church Hierarchy. I hope John Paul II's qualitys were highly contagious to the electors of our next Pope. I do not feel sadness. I feel the greatness of this man being dispatched to a world that he has (from) in spirit ascended. He is far greater now than he was ever as a man. His greatness will now be felt and recognized more so (now & in the future) than ever during his life in the flesh.

Or they did not vote? All incumbents (except Colmenero)were re-elected despite the obvious self dealing. I will cite the activities on Island as proof. Colmenaro was the least guilty; of not representing the citizens of Corpus Christi. Congrats to our new Mayor Henry Garrett. My vote was for you Roland. Keep working towards the next election. My respect & condolences go out to you Mr. Garrett. She is smiling!

Yep,""Lago and his Looney Tunes"" are still in power. Mark ""I wanna Be Your Mayer"" Scott is still in there pitching, while""Thae All America City"" goes deeper in debt and the taxes will rise even higher and ""The Hookers"" will go broke at ""Hamburger Field"". Tou are so correct; It is truly a sad day for Corpus. But then you get what you pay for,or is that you get what you voted for. Those that did not vote have no right to complain.

I live near Lake Corpus Christi and commute to work here in Corpus. I am glad that I live in another county with a lower tax base. The Corpus Christi comedy show, or more commonly referred to as the Corpus Christi City Council gives those of us who live outside the city something to laugh at. As for the citizens of Corpus Christi, I hear time and time again how you are not happy with the taxes, roads, schools, garbage pickup, parking, jobs, and the list goes on. I wasn''t happy with these things either so I moved. But there is one basic fundamental that should be addressed. No change equals no change. The very people who are in charge are still in charge. How do you think your situation will improve with the same people who made those decisions are still making the decisions?

Suprisingly, Micheal Shiavo has agreed to an autopsy. I hope that puts an end to the controversy of him somehow being responsible for Terri''s initial hospitalization. One fact is glaringly obvious, he wanted her dead. His total disregard for her family''s wishes only heightens suspicions as to his motives. I seriously doubt he was doing all this for Terri, he was doing it for himself. He handled the whole situation very badly and brought the whole nation in as a result.

Safety Instruction 4/14/2005 7:38:53 AM
The prupose of the intruction was not to infringe on the rights of the smokers but is there for safety reasons. If you look at the instruction, you''ll see that it is a ""5100"" series instruction and that should tell you that it is a safety instruction and this instruction should also reference a DoD instruction that tells skippers that they will have a smoking policy in place on board the base/ship. If my memory serves me correctly, the DoD instruction goes back past the 90''s and into the late 80''s. The purpose was two fold in that it was for safety and also to promote health/combat readiness. I seriously doubt if the City got the no smoking policy from this instruction and if they did, I hope they adopt the intruction for yard care and trash pick-up.

In the forthcoming election,Smokers will be out voted and thrashed quite soundly. Non-Smokers will prevail. State of Montana has put in a bill that all smoking will cease in/all state property. Laramie,Wy has passed a law that their will be no smoking in Bars,Resturants, etc. It will happen here in ""The All America City"" sooner or later. No smoking 4/14/2005 8:41:29 AM
The ""no smoking"" in public places policy went into effect in Portland Maine several years ago. My wife and I went into the ""big city"" for dinner only to be greeted by about 8 people at the door who were smoking at the entrance. I commented to my wife that that was odd because it was 20 degrees outside and they should be inside. Once we got inside, we asked to be seated in the ""no smoking"" section and the hostess explained that the whole restaurant was ""no smoking"" and that all of the restaurants were now smoke free. It never bothered me before because we always sat in the non smoking areas but what did bother me was walking through the cloud of smoke on my in to the restaurant. I wonder if the city council considered that when they instituded the no smoking policy inside the restaurants.

OK let us see if we can establish some background info.... 4/15/2005 3:25:05 AM
then we can get back to issues at hand? Mifflin Kenedy & Richard King were Partners. Basically take Highway 77 as the as the dividing line. To the east was Mifflins to the west was Kings. Very Powerful families (Internationally). The Kenedy''s were always low profile on the Power Politics that the Clebergs, Armstrongs, LBJ, Parrs, Ed Byrne and Sheltons dominated. Read about Jake ""the Snake"" Floyd. ""El Vibora Seca"" he was called. John G Kenedy called La Parra his ""Chicago Ranch"" and I still do not know why. John G Kenedy Sr was affiliated with many things including very well connected to the Pinkertons. Do you know who the Pinkertons are? El Casa Grande had a Gatlin Gun mounted atop the lookout post. do you know what it took in those days to get your hands on a Gatlin Gun? Then the legality is a whole other bowl of Rice. Kenedy & King were triple agents and moved through the conflicting forces without conflict themselves. The Mercantile System was heavily depenedent on the Cotton. King & Kenedy supplied Cotton to the New York Mercantiles and they supplied arms to the ones they barterred and traded with. If you think about it they were like the first CIA of the USA. If you are not convinced read about them more in depth. Much more to go just take it a little at a time. This is all in the Texas handbook.

PONDER. Jake Floyd (Sarita Kenedy East’s Attorney) was the district Attorney in Alice at the time when his son Buddy was killed by Sharpshooters in his front yard. Box 13 in Duval County was an issue. Lyndon B Johnson slipped into the white house as Vice President of JFK who was assassinated in Dallas Texas placing LBJ in the Oval Office. He did not run for reelection and the next president elected was Richard M Nixon. Richard M Nixon was handpicked by Prescott Bush as a ""malleable republican"". Out of the men who killed Buddy Floyd; only 1 was apprehended. He named his partner as Lee Harvey Oswald. Bus records and witnesses have confirmed he rode next to Lee Harvey Oswald from the Mexican border. Operation Paperclip is in the Warren Commission findings. Operation Paperclip is J Peter Grace’s project. J Peter Grace is synonymous with the Knights Of Malta and the CIA. Richard Nixon references the Kennedy assination as ""The Bay Of Pigs"". Which is the real reason they killed the President. Research J Peter Grace or check it out in namebase.org in fact check out some of the other names also. Did you know our Diocese was instrumental in the Iran Contra transfer of arms & cash. Grace, Brother Leo & Sarita Kenedy now there is the Story ""If you love me do my will"". I have the original manuscript that the Diocese bought and quashed!

In May 1984, when Managua''s Cardinal Obando y Bravo was visiting Cardinal John O''Connor in New York, a Grace representative was dispatched to meet with the Nicaraguan to discuss his request for money for his archdiocese''s leadership formation programs. No friend of the Sandinistas, the cardinal painted the situation in Nicaragua in the blackest terms, according to a memorandum of the conversation sent to Grace. The memo recommended that funds from the Sarita Kenedy East Foundation, of which Grace had partial control, be used to support the cardinal''s programs since they ""represent the best organized opposition in Nicaragua.""

OK I was in error (Osborne / Oswald / Bowen) here is the connection 4/16/2005 1:30:40 AM
Lee Harvey Oswald, Albert Osborne When Lee Harvey Oswald entered Mexico at Laredo, Texas, on Sept. 26, 1963, his companion on the Red Arrow bus was Albert Osborne, alias John Howard Bowen. Bowen-Osborne had been running a school for highly professional marksmen in Oaxaca, Mexico, since 1934. The cover for the place was his particular mission, and he was the missionary. The FBI records on Bowen go back to June 4, 1942, in Henderson Springs, Tennessee. He operated a camp for boys known as ""Campfire Council."" Neighbors complained it was for pro-nazi activities with young fascists. Bowen vehemently opposed the U.S. going to war with nazi Germany. They stomped on the American flag. Before that, Bowen worked for the Tennessee Valley Authority since 1933. His dual citizenship between Great Britain and the U.S. took him over the entire globe. So did his use of multiple aliases. After the Warren Commission published their report in September 1964, several attorneys in the Southwest recognized the name of Osborne. September 8, 1952, Jake Floyd was murdered. The target was meant to be his father, District Judge Floyd. Two suspects were caught, one got away. Their testimony was about being hired by Osborne and how he ran the school for assassins. Later investigation revealed Osborne''s connections to Division V of the FBI, and to Clay Shaw''s Centro Mondiale Commerciale, with funding coming from New Orleans for the CIA, Anti-Castro Cubans, and others. Lee Harvey Oswald applied for a tourist card to enter Mexico while still in New Orleans on September 17, 1963 Four other persons, having consecutive tourist numbers, departed nine days later, like Oswald, all to arrive at the same time, entering from several different cities. They were part of the White Russian Solidarists, the Gehlen emigre community that Lee and Marina mingled with. This assassination team funded Maurice Brooks Gatlin, Guy Bannister, and the Miami office of Double Check Corporation. J. Edgar Hoover''s Division V, Domestic Intelligence, working with the American Council of Christian Churches, had used this group from the Bowen-Osbome academy of assassins. Volume XXV of the Hearings has many pages of interviews with people who had sent money to Jack Bowen. They never met him, and some like Mrs. Bessie White, Pikesville, Tenn., mailed $35 a month to John Howard Bowen who she believed had been doing missionary work for 18 years in Mexico."" Osborne-Bowen had a mission. Lee Harvey Oswald, agent from U.S. Defense Dept., had a team of doubles impersonating his behavior, leaving trails of anti-American frustration and meetings with various people. While Oswald was in Mexico just prior to Kennedy''s murder the purposes were concealed. Meanwhile, the CIA and various authorities led Oswald to the Cuban Embassy, the Soviet Embassy. When the face or voices didn''t match the authentic Oswald, it didn''t matter, given a difference of 40 to SO pounds and shape. What came from all this was the conclusion that Oswald had really wanted to go to Cuba next. Which Oswald, and why? This was to finalize with the illusion of an Oswald-Casto admiration just days before Kennedy would be killed.

Hunt organization; (3) Free Cuba Committee--Carlos Prio Soccaras (Cuban ex-president); (4) ""The Syndicate""--Clifford Jones and Bobby Baker working with Joe Bonanno Mafia family; (5) NASA''s Security Division--Werner Von Braun, headquarters in Redstone Arsenal in Muscle Shoals, Alabama and on East Broad Street in Columbus, Ohio. The Kennedy assassination was planned and carried out by Division Five of the FBI, which acted in conjunction with the Defense Intelligence Agency under the control of the Joint Chiefs. These divisions had a highly secret police agency called the Defense Industrial Security Command, which also worked with NASA, the Atomic Energy Commission (AEC), USIA and weapons and ammunition supply corporations (munitions makers) which contract with those agencies. The police force originated in the 1930''s to work for the Tennessee Valley Authority, then expanded to the AEC, tying it in with army intelligence. Agents of this force included Clay Shaw, Guy Bannister, David Ferrie, Lee Harvey Oswald, Jack Ruby and others, and was headed up by Bloomfield. According to this report: The principal financiers of Permindex were a number of U.S. oil companies, H.L. Hunt, Clint Murchison, John De Menil, Solidarist director of Houston, John Connally, as executor of Sid Richardson estate, Haliburton [sic] Oil Co., Sen. Robert Kerr of Okla., Troy Post of Dallas, Lloyd Cobb of New Orleans, Dr. Oechner of New Orleans, George and Herman Brown of Brown & Root, Attorney Roy M. Cohn, Chairman of the Board for Lionel Corp., New York City, Schenley Industries of New York City, Walter Dornberger, ex-Nazi general and his company, Bell Aerospace, Pan American World Airways and its subsidiary, Intercontinental Hotel Corp., Paul Raigorodsky of Claiborne Oil of New Orleans, Credit Suisse of Canada, and Heineken''s Brewery of Canada and a host of other munitions makers and NASA contractors directed by the Defense Industrial Security Command. Torbitt also mentions that a group of “25 to 30 professional executioners have been based in Mexico and have been used by espionage agencies of the U.S. and various countries all over the world for political killings for the past 25 years.” The reference for this information is given as the New Orleans District Attorney [Jim Garrison] records and the private files of Bill Allcorn [special assistant attorney general of Texas]in the Buddy Floyd assassination case in Alice, Texas, 1952. The “espionage section of the FBI’s nest of professional assassins in Mexico” began in 1943 under J. Edgar Hoover, who allowed the D.I.A. to use the assassins by going through an American-based subsidiary of Permindex called Double-Chek Corporation. One unauthorized contract killing two of the assassins were hired to commit was in 1952 involving an Alice, Texas district judge who was a bitter enemy of George Parr of Duval County, Texas. George Parr’s personal lawyer was indicted for conspiracy to murder, along with the two assassins. During the investigation, Bill Allcorn was told that the contact person for the group of assassins was a man named [John Howard] Bowen [alias Albert Alexander Osborne], posing as an American Council of Christian Churches missionary in Mexico, who could be reached through the owner of the St. Anthony Hotel in Laredo. This same man had organized in 1942 a nazi black shirt group called the “Campfire Council” in the country next to Knoxville, Tenn. In 1964 he told FBI agent in Laredo that his real name was Albert Osborne and he had been born in 1888 in Grimsby, England. Other witnesses told investigators Osborne operated a mission in Texualucan, Pueblo, Mexico, consisting of a large home where he “gathered in young men who appeared to have no home or ties.” (XXV, 51 Warren Com. Rep.) >From his home in Laredo, Osborne traveled regularly to Austin, Dallas and Tyler. In >Dallas, he visited H.L. Hunt. On October 10, 1963 he was in New Orleans, at the office of Clay Shaw at 124 Camp, also at the office of Maurice Brooks Gatlin of the FBI and Guy Bannister, manager for Division Five of the FBI at 644 Camp. Another person using the John Howard Bowen alias was Fred Lee Chrismon, who worked for the Defense Industrial Security Command. Chrismon was an immigrant from Syria who had been closely associated with Osborne since the 1920s. Before the publication of the Torbitt Document, there was other evidence of this assassination team. In 1964 J. Evetts Haley published his classic book, A Texan Looks at Lyndon, in which he goes into great detail about the “landslide” election of 1948 which swept Johnson into the U.S. Senate. This he did through the funds furnished him from George and Herman Brown of Brown & Root, which he had rewarded so well with government contracts while he was a Congressman. But even more important was George Parr, county judge of Duval County in South Texas, whose Precinct 13 ballot box in Alice, Texas put Lyndon over the top. In fact, the Buddy Floyd assassination case referred to in Torbitt resulted from a feud between George Parr and a political enemy. Parr had been convicted in 1928 on a guilty plea for which he received a probated sentence. In 1934 this sentence was vacated when Parr was caught changing signed documents after they were filed with the county clerk, in order to defraud. But he was soon out. Referred to as the “Duke of Duval,” he owned serveral banks, 70,000 acres of land with a mansion. He fell out with Congressman Richard Kleberg, for whom Lyndon Johnson began his Washington career working as an aide, in 1948 when Parr supported Johnson. In that election, John Connally, a Floresville native and long-time friend of Johnson, served as his campaign chairman and in 1948 he “had virtually assumed command of the Parr and Johnson forces. The voter fraud case ended up in a hearing before Judge Bob Smith with Lyndon Johnson allegedly calling George Parr and pleading: “George, don’t burn those ballots. It’ll be a reflection on me.” To which Parr replied: “To hell with you. I’m going to protect my friends.” The various election judges were subpoenaed to testify, coached in advance by Parr. All election records were discovered to be “missing.” Several of the persons called to testify did not show up, having been called to Mexico “on business.” Johnson was represented in the hearings by Abe Fortas and Thurman Arnold, as well as Charles I. Francis of Vinson & Elkins of Houston. He also had Alvin J. Wirtz and John Cofer in Austin. One of Parr’s enemies was attorney Jacob Floyd of Jim Wells County, of which Alice was the county seat. Another enemy was W.H. Mason, a news commentator on Alice radio station KBKI, who exposed Parr’s corruption, especially his ownership of a dance hall which covered for illegal booze and prostitution. Parr’s henchmen beat Mason up and shot him dead in July 1949. The trial took place on a change of venue in Bell County, prosecuted by Jim Evetts. Although Evetts was shot at in January 1950, the shots missed. Mason’s killer was convicted and imprisoned, where he “committed suicide” in April 1952. A few months later Jacob “Jake” Floyd was targeted for assassination, but through a fluke, his son was killed instead. Percy Foreman defended one of the killers, with his fee reportedly paid by George Parr. As to this turn of events, Haley remarks: In its incipiency, public sanction of immorality, assassination and illegitimacy may seem a local if not a minor matter. But the malignancy spreads! What a strange coincidence that Lee Harvey Oswald, on his return from Mexico shortly before the Kennedy assassination, detoured from Laredo to stop and spend the night in “search of a job” at Alice, in Jim Wells County, Texas, before proceeding to Dallas and his world- shocking deed! According to Torbitt, the base of operations in Mexico was “Clint Murchison’s huge ranch.” Murchison, according to his authorized biography by Jane Wolfe, first became interested in Mexico in the early forties. It was at that time he found the land on which he was to built his mansion on 125,000 in Acuna, which was finished in 1950. The first guests were the Duke and Duchess of Windsor. J. Evetts Haley, a Texan Looks at Lyndon, p. 37. Haley, p. 45. Haley, p. 54.

Re: Ever heard of the Torbitt Document? Cleberg still ties in! 4/16/2005 6:03:39 PM
I grew up on a farm outside of Alice and I remember my Dad and Mother listening to Bill Mason every day at lunch time. I was a kid then, but I remember him starting his program with, ""Eat hearty folks, this is Bill Mason"". Then he would start exposing the corruption in Jim Wells and Duval county. He would name names and had a large listening audience. I remember my Dad saying that something was going to happen to Mason one of these days and sure enough he was killed by a deputy constable by the name of Smithwick (if I remember right). He went to jail and later the story went that he wanted to meet with either the justice department or maybe the Rangers. He was found hung in his cell and it was called a ""suicide"". But a lot of authorities said the way he was hung, it woulld be impossible to do it himself. The politics were real nasty back then. I remember one night listening to KBKI and they were broadcasting a live political fund raiser, where people would call in. Some guy called in and said her would donate $100 if some judge (he named) would bray like the jackass he was. Needless to say that cause an uproar. I agree that LBJ was elected by fraud and Jim Wells and Duval had some real bad blood between Parr''s bunch and Floyd''s group. It seems unreal now, but I guess some of it still goes on. I had the book ""A Texan Looks at Lyndon"" and it painted a pretty sorry picture of our Pres. I lost it years ago, but may check with the library to see if one is still around.

""El Vibora Seca"" was SKE''s Attorney 4/16/2005 10:04:43 PM
It is strange how Smithwick was used to ""off"" Mason. Yet is stranger that that the East Family & the Cleberg Family used both the ""Duke of Duval"" and the ""Snake"" (of Jim Wells) for their own agendas. Then it turns out that the contract assassinations for Floyd & Kenedy turn out to have a ""Fall Guy"" originating from the ""Campfire Council"". If you disagree; fine, at least (like Bigo did) cite the fault in my theory? Dont just BWAHAHAHAHA, cuz it is not me that is upset. The Helicopters are only one of a series of (I beleive to be connected) events. do you know how hard it was for me to consider these ""conspiracy theories"". My Father has alway7s told me, ""Son, where there is smoke there is fire"". He usually told me this when I was in trouble at school and was blaming another. Now that Bigo told the story of Bill Mason; he (MASON) was evening conversation. I find out my father read ""A Texan take a look at Lyndon"" and both my parents remember when he was killed. They have warned me about the danger before.

Some spoke in favor of Williams and his defense of Coles. Chavez is not a board member? Some spoke in favor of Williams and his defense of Coles. ""I have to respectfully disagree with many of the comments made here today,"" said Northside community member Andrew DuArte during public comment. ""We have a board member willing to stand up and represent those he is meant to represent who represents me, my district and community. None of these people live in Hillcrest or have sat in on the meetings where we were lied to. There is lots of frustration built up here. I want to thank those board members willing to continue to support us."" http://caller.com/ccct/local_news/article/0,1641,CCCT_811_3693590,00.html I do not believe the Reverend was referring to the community. I beleive he was referring to an agenda that does appear to be discriminatorial in nature. Why are they just now shifting to this style of attack on him regarding this matter? He continues to address this matter and is embarrassing CCISD? I will look into the matter further and if i am wrong then so be it. Do not let the elitist divide & conquer!

IMHO the closing of Coles is not necessary. I agree with Mr. Williams that ""It smells of Racism"". Coles was and still is a good school. It has a very good history behind it and has produced some fine students. The building is well kept and capable of sustaining classes for many more years to come. Cardinal Bernard Law, Cardinal, John O Connor & Bishop Rene Henry Gracida 4/12/2005 5:53:29 AM
Michaud & Aynesworth's "Calling in the Big Guns": Cardinal Bernard Law, Cardinal, John O Connor & Bishop Rene Henry Gracida Calling in the Big Guns Gracida read the bishops’ words and actions as nothing less than an attempt, via the attorney general’s lawsuit, to engineer a foundation coup, oust him, and install their own trustees. To counter them, he turned to a trusted friend, the most powerful Catholic in the United States. “I said, ‘John, here are some clippings of what the bishops are saying about me. I need you to silence them. I’m not asking you to interfere in the litigation. Just tell them to shut up. You can do that.’” O’Connor did that and more. Gracida recalls that the public turmoil did quiet down, but he soon became convinced that O’Connor had more in mind than simply mediating the dispute. “Our attorney flew to New York and met with O’Connor in his living room,” he says. “He came back from that meeting and told me, ‘You’ve got to know who you’re fighting here. He’s going to try to take over the foundation.’” O’Connor died last year, apparently without making any public comments on his role in the Kenedy controversy. Cardinal O’Connor was named head of a Papal commission charged with mediating the foundation fight before it actually got to court. His two co-mediators were Bernard Cardinal Law of Boston and Bishop Raymond Burke from Wisconsin. Gracida says Burke later told him that O’Connor and Law froze him out of their deliberations, which to the Corpus Christi bishop seemed directed more toward wresting the foundation away from him than exploring a middle ground in the dispute. O’Connor could not have seized power directly—the law was too plain on that issue—but Gracida surmises that the Cardinal certainly would have enjoyed a great deal of indirect influence on foundation matters had he delivered it into the Texas bishops’ control. The Cardinal pressured him to capitulate, Gracida says, invoking his extraordinary influence both in the United States and, more importantly, in Rome, but the Corpus Christi bishop would not budge. Gracida also distrusted his co-adjutor and anointed successor as bishop, Roberto Gonzalez (now Archbishop of Puerto Rico), who had risen through the Catholic hierarchy as a protege of both O’Connor and Law. He did not want Gonzalez—or any bishop—succeeding him as president of the foundation, and therefore presented as his non-negotiable demand that there could be no settlement unless the majority of any new Kenedy board were not clerics.

Members of the Gonzalez family insist he has molested at least four members of their family, altar boys and other children attached to small Texas parishes. Capelo then experienced the venom of local factions who now hated him. How did Capelo get in the position to write this bill? Capelo was elected to the Legislature filling the vacated seat of Hugo Berlanga (family friend of Tony Canales and Barbara Canales Black). Berlanga handpicked and groomed Capelo for the seat Hugo was vacating. Many questioned why Berlanga would step down at a time he could really make a difference in Austin? What influenced Hugo stepping down? Who benefited from the legislation Capelo wrote? On the outside, it looks like he wrote the legislation for the doctors who practiced medicine in this day of ""lawsuit abuse"". The doctors did want the legislation and they fought hard for it to pass. The doctors work in a system that takes money out of their pockets for treating patients to the best of their ability. Now a doctor must consider if he will get paid when making a medical decision. He must answer to the health system. The hospital systems in South Texas benefited much more from the bill Capelo wrote than did anyone else. I used to swear that Spohn Shoreline was the best hospital around. Then I noticed the nuns and other caring administrators being replaced by corporate accountants, streamliners etc. Then Spohn became Christus Spohn Health Systems. Christus still had the Kenedy Foundation and Trust''s Money. The Diocese of Corpus Christi still controlled, but now they were money oriented. Capelo writing the bill helped the doctors? Yes, but he wrote the bill for the more influential power base, the Health Systems in South Texas. The main one is Christus Spohn, the umbrella financed by the Kenedy Foundation and Trust managed by the Diocese of Corpus Christi who is protected by the King Ranch Corporation''s attorneys. The King Ranch Corporation controls South Texas. The Kenedy oil is the one that got away. Barbara and Tony own BNP, which owns all of the drilling rights along the national seashore. They (The Canales Clique) also represent the King Ranch and Christus Spohn Health Systems. Patricia Canales Bell is on the board of directors at Christus Spohn. Now Tony Canales is head prosecutor of Capelo in pending civil suit. Jaime Capelo sold out his profession. He was used by the same people who reject Anita Matilde''s birthright. Also research the money coming from the WIA through the Building & Procurement. Ever heard of Havlinka v Schubert? You are ignorant or are you in denial? I was there when the Black Copters came. I have discussed this with those close to the ex Mayor of Kingsville. Why do you think that Cleberg county wants to form a new district court separate from the 105th. But not without Kenedy County. As far as the alien crash at Roswell; I have read articles on an alien crash on the King Ranch, but that was a long time ago. The Secret to the special sauce is Thousand Island. Who let the Dogs out? Jaime Kenedeno is letting them out! That is a wonderful suggestion! The Great ""BIGFATSO"" but what do the B I & G stand for? Certifiable? Not even close! I just research & find the information. Then I corroborate with other sources and then I write. Tony Canales, Christus Spohn, BNP, Exxon & many more of the Power Elite conduct business with and are affiliated with each other. Why did the City of Corpus Christi annex a portion of Cleberg County? And you say Kleberg & Kenedy have nothing to do with Corpus Christi? We are in South Texas where the King Ranch & KFATSO are still trying to operate under the ""Old Patron System"". Bernard Law, do you know who he is? No Good Deed: A Must Read For Corpus Christi and South Texas 4/14/2005 4:44:20 AM
About the Book Brockland Joshua, Brock to his friends, was a retired Infantry Lieutenant Colonel of the United States Army who, through a series of turns, became the manager of a golf and country club in Corpus Christi, Texas, on the last developed barrier reef island in the United States. In doing his job Brock has become involved with some high powered members of his club who want him to do a little intelligence gathering for them. It seems the OPEC countries and our nation’s oil producing capabilities are on a collision course. He does not realize that this good deed will draw him into a web of intrigue and danger that will involve organized crime on both sides of the Texas border and leave him marked as the killer of these same friends. As Brock scrambles to prove his innocence, people begin dying around him, including his beautiful blonde lover, wife of the corrupt oil baron he has exposed. He cannot do it alone. So he contacts two old Army buddies and they weigh in. As they plan to clear his name, he is confident that he can do it. While no good deed may go unpunished, Brock intends to hand out a little punishment of his own. About the Author Hal Bray is a new author who writes what he knows. As a retired Infantry Lieutenant Colonel, he shares with us the mind set of men formed by their combat experiences. As one who has managed prestigious private country clubs and dealt with their high powered members who control our nation’s economy and industry, he provides keen insight on the inner workings of politics and money in the oil industry against a backdrop of greed and corruption. From an idyllic setting to one of chaos and panic he leads us on a rapidly accelerating chase to foil a plan that would ruin the oil industry within the United States and place our fuel destiny in the hands of the OPEC nations. Re: Hardcore Harry: Why do you need to add to the truth? 4/14/2005 10:44:50 AM
Jaime, I''m trying to follow what you''re saying but you make it very difficult because you skip all over the place. I''m sure alot of these situations have logical explanations such as the training excercises. But you still haven''t said what the significance of the road from Kingsville to the island is all about and what that has to do with the black helicopters. Please explain. I''m listening. Sometimes I really do wonder if you have Mulder and Scully on speed dial.

First of all....... 4/15/2005 3:47:11 AM
Those Black Copters were not conducting training exercises. There is a thing Called the Posse Comitatus or something like that. It has something to do with the Copters. Also, if you still think they were training exercises; I challenge you to research Black Helicopters & Kingsville. Then follow up where they are stationed and what they do. This is Kingsville; everybody knows everything but they dont say it out loud but to each other we all know Fil Was ""touched by the Feds"". As you know there are now several different agencies under the DOJ. For some reason they are very interested in Cleberg & Kenedy counties. The South Texas Military Task Force, Gary Bushell, Tony Canales, BNP, The National Park Service & the King Ranch I beleive are connected to everything I have said above. They are connected to the road also. I think there is a couple more in Kenedy County also. Where does the oil go? How does it get there? The Road is signifigant initially simply because they tried to keep it form the Public but used public funds to build it. Whose land did it cross? I bet you the owners are dead and the property is in a trust with no family members? Mulder & Scully?? I had to ask my wife on that one. I dont watch the X Files. I have enough of the surreal in my real life.

Do you trust the King Ranch to do the right thing for Kingsville? 4/15/2005 4:46:04 AM
Jack Hunt controls a big portion of the King Ranch and the agenda is dictated to Jack from who? Key elements: Kenedy bombing range, military task force, economic development boards etc. Point is, is the connection of the King Ranch, Jack & Ray Hunt, TAMU Board of Directors (including Guadalupe Rangel (Jorge''s Wife) & Anne Armstrong) Pepsi, Taco Bell, W R Grace, J Peter Grace, Anne & Tobin Armstrong, The Kenedy Foundation and Trust, CC Diocese, Brother Leo, Sarita Kenedy East, Francisca Elena Suess Kenedy, Operation Paperclip. The JFK assassination or “Bay of Pigs” as Nixon referred to it and ""the Campfire Boys""; is intimately involved with Operation Paperclip, Saltillo, Mexico & King Ranch''s Sharpshooter Marksman / Jesuits. There is an E Howard Hunt involved in this tangled web with conspirators like the former owner of the Dallas Cowboys Clint Murchison, George Parr and Duval County. Those are are facts documented by the Warren Commission. There is another source called the ""Torbitt Document"". Do you trust the King Ranch to do the right thing for Kingsville?

Who is John Hubert? 4/15/2005 7:11:17 AM
It is Hubert & The Boothes who are behind this whole Division of Kingsville? Allegedly, an FBI Agent informed Officials he was anticipating Judge Hayden Head to inquire if the FBI had in fact been contacted. The FBI Agent allegedly informed official that he (the FBI Agent) would be forced to say they had not been contacted. Official claims to have informed FBI at least 3 times. Judge Head requested any conspiracy theories be put in writing. Official informed the undercover agent & the FBI informant of the Judge''s request. FBI informant contacted his handler who allegedly contacted the U S Attorney''s office (where Patricia Hubert Boothe is a Prosecutor). In turn, the U S Attorney''s office was being asked to petition the Court to seal the documents from public disclosure. Kingsville Official followed with a call to the U S Attorney''s office and stressed the importance of sealing the documents (with the names of the undercover officer as well as the informant)to avoid revealing the identities. Allegedly, the U S Attorney''s office assured Official this would be done before the time set in the Judge''s order to deliver the documents. When documents were handed over official restated the importance of the documents being sealed. When the documents were handed in (to a female U S Attorney?) Official ""understood"" that at that time an order to seal the documents would be in place. Then Official traveled back to Kingsville. That same day Official was informed (by an FBI informant in San Antonio)that the documents had been turned over to a reporter in Corpus Christi; who had contacted the informant in San Antonio inquiring as to the truth of the documents. It seems as though the recusal of certain persons with the U S Attorney''s Office that the motion to seal the documents was never carried out. A Media Frenzy ensued. Who recused and thus dropped the ball where John Hubert''s Sister is an assistant U S Attorney. Would she recuse do to the involvement of her brother or her husband who is in charge of forfeitures and seizures for the 105th? Why did John Hubert not take Granato & Crocker to the Grand Jury. There is much more to this story Kingsville! All the above are Allegations asserted in pending litigation. There are documents that can back this up. The Key element in my opinion is that the documents were not sealed on purpose by a technicality used as an excuse! It was a slap in the face by the U S Attorney''s Office. It also implicitly undermines the City of Kingsville and makes it as though John Hubert has effectively opened the door for his brother in law to move into Kingsville & start using the tools availed to his advantage. Subsequently, I have noticed his involvement in a number of highly coincidental large busts with cash & vehicles!

Re: First of all....... 4/15/2005 6:50:05 AM
Jaime, if the road was built from public funds, don''t you think they would have paved it? I have flown over that area on numerous occaisions and all I have seen is old dirt & partially paved roads for ranching/farming. You now mention oil. What oil and from where? Why don''t they use regular roads like everybody else? Wouldn''t that be easier or are you suggesting that someone is steeling oil and would rather take a chance of getting stuck with a truck full of oil on an old dirt ranch road?
Jaime KenedenoPosts: 1468

Re: Re: First of all....... 4/15/2005 7:05:18 AM
How long has it been since you flew over the area? Of course it is paved. Oil??? Tony Canales & BNP did not get Hugo to write that legislation to allow BNP to drill on the National Seashore for nothing? The oil was stolen before the drilling ever started. There is the pipeline owned by Hunt that transfers the oil. The King Ranch & the National Seashore reside under the National Park Service (A Federal Entity created by LBJ, Anne Armstrong, Cleberg & allies).
Jaime KenedenoPosts: 1468

One Source 4/15/2005 7:15:52 AM
Isn''t it intriguing that the voting boxes that determined LBJ''s election were controlled by a man who worked for the interests that controlled our drug-running railroad in Laredo-- the Tex Mex? Is it the same drug network in Florida that controls those Broward County boxes? The same man was implicated in the death of the son of a South Texas attorney, alleged to have been killed by Mexican assassins mentioned in the Torbitt Document as having been involved in the Kennedy assassination. DUVAL COUNTY. Duval County (Q-15) is in south central Texas about fifty miles inland from the Gulf of Mexicoqv and seventy-three miles north of the Rio Grande. It is bordered by Webb, La Salle, McMullen, Live Oak, Jim Wells, Brooks, and Jim Hogg counties. San Diego, the county seat and most populous town, is on the Texas Mexican Railroad at the intersection of State highways 44 and 359 and Farm road 1329, about fifty-two miles west of Corpus Christi and eighty miles east of Laredo. Duval County''s reputation for political corruption peaked with Lyndon B. Johnson''s election to the United States Senate in 1948. The famous Box 13, which gave Johnson his eighty-seven-vote victory, was actually in Jim Wells County, but the manipulation of the returns was almost certainly directed by Parr. In the 1900 presidential election Duval County went Republican, but since that time, thanks largely to the efficiency of the Parr machine and the customary tendency of Hispanics to vote for Democrats, the county has delivered majorities to the Democratic party on the order of 94 percent in 1916, 98 percent in 1932, 95 percent in 1936, 96 percent in 1940, 95 percent in 1944, 97 percent in 1948, and 93 percent in 1964. In fact, only once between 1916 and 1972 did the Democratic candidate receive less than 74 percent of the vote in Duval County; that year, 1956, a mere 68 percent voted Democratic. Even after the demise of the Parr machine in 1975 Democrats continued to dominate. In the 1988 and 1992 presidential elections 82 percent of the county''s voters cast ballots for the Democratic candidate. See: http://www.tsha.utexas.edu/handbook/online/articles/view/DD/hcd11.html The remainder of Parr''s political career was highlighted by a seemingly endless series of spectacular scandals, involving election fraud, graft on the grand scale, and violence. His most celebrated scheme decided the outcome of the United States Senate race between Coke R. Stevenson and Lyndon B. Johnson in 1948. With Stevenson the apparent winner, election officials in Jim Wells County, probably acting on Parr''s orders, reported an additional 202 votes for Johnson a week after the primary runoff and provided the future president with his eighty-seven-vote margin of victory for the whole state. Amid charges of fraud, the voting lists disappeared. Even more sordid controversies followed. As strong challenges from the Freedom party, consisting mainly of World War II veterans, developed in several South Texas counties, including Duval, two critics of Parr''s rule and the son of another met violent deaths. While denying Parr''s involvement in two of the killings, his biographer, Dudley Lynch, concedes that the evidence against Parr in the shooting of the son of Jacob Floyd, an attorney for the Freedom party, was both ""highly circumstantial"" and ""highly incriminating."" After this third murder, Governor Allan Shivers, Texas attorney general John Ben Shepperd, and federal authorities launched all-out campaigns to destroy the Parr machine. Investigations of the 1950s produced over 650 indictments against ring members, but Parr survived the indictments and his own conviction for federal mail fraud through a complicated series of dismissals and reversals on appeal. In the face of another legal offensive in the 1970s and a rebellion within his own organization, he finally relented. While appealing a conviction and five-year sentence for federal income tax evasion, the Duke of Duval committed suicide at his ranch, Los Harcones, on April 1, 1975. See also Boss Rule. http://www.tsha.utexas.edu/handbook/online/articles/view/PP/fpa36.html While you can''t play ""what-if"" with any certainty, you have to wonder whether the area from San Antonio and Corpus Christi south would have known the same emptiness that prevailed in the in-between sections of Tamaulipas, Nuevo LeĆ³n, Coahuila, and Chihuahua if the Anglos hadn''t turned their particular talents and drives Valleyward. It started as a land of great ranches, which in themselves invite sparse settlement, and it might have remained as untaken as the country between Del Rio and Fort Stockton if Colonel Uriah Lott had not perceived that with a railroad, the Valley could become a year-round fruit and vegetable garden for much of the United States. Lott buttonholed B. F. Yoakum, who at the beginning of the twentieth century sent Captain J. E. Hinckley reconnoitering through the Valley into Mexico to find a way of tapping the riches-almost entirely potential-on either side of the border. He enlisted the irresistible enthusiasm of Theodore Roosevelt, who envisioned a road that would eventually extend all the way through Central America, where he had designs on the Panama Isthmus. Anglo American survey crews came in, built a steel bridge between Brownsville and Matamoros suitable for locomotives or buggies, and began planning other routes that would connect such diverse places geographically as New Orleans, San Antonio, Memphis, and Chicago. Down in Mexico, President Porfirio Diaz, who welcomed yanqui development (translated sometimes as exploitation), encouraged Yoakum and his cohorts, and even offered to help underwrite the cost. Some of the Anglos backing Yoakum remain memorable names three-quarters of a century after the event-Robert J. Kleberg, Robert Driscoll Sr., John G. Kenedy, Caesar Kleberg, and John J. Welder--to name only a few. On January 12, 1903, they received their charter to do business as the St. Louis, Brownsville, and Mexico Railway, to extend from Sinton to Brownsville, with reticulation of future roads to branch northward and eastward from there. The foundation of the paper work for connecting the Valley with the United States and Texas had been laid. Actually, the Anglos had been in the Valley since the period of the War against Mexico. They had been slow to arrive because the area from the Nueces River to the Rio Grande was disputed. Mexico had refused to accept Santa Ana''s cession of the region to Texas, which meant that an enormous region in truth belonged to no one. Or worse, to whoever could take and hold it. It would have been comparable to a modern Lebanon except that fortunately it was empty of people. Then developers brought in the St. Louis, Brownsville, and Mexico Railway. The year was 1903, two decades after Texas had shut down land grants to railroads. No help would come from that source. Rumors of incoming railroads had been spread before, but no rails or locomotives had been seen. But like the neglected maiden who suddenly has three suitors, Brownsville began to be courted by the Southern Pacific and the Frisco-Rock Island, as well as the St. Louis, Brownsville, and Mexico railroads. The town fathers voted to raise a bonus of 12,000 acres on either side of the projected road to the distance of four miles, plus $40,000 in cash, and forty to fifty acres within Brownsville itself for depot grounds plus twenty more acres for shops. The list of endorsers reads like a Who''s Who of Texas for the first half of the twentieth century. Up in St. Louis, another syndicate of almost a hundred business leaders were banding together to see that the railroad got underway. The bulk of the capital would have to come out of Missouri. Ironically, the railroad that brought in the Yankees and the high-gear economy to the Valley went into receivership in 1913, a condition brought on largely by insufficient freight. When the Valley began its boom in the 1920s, the railroad came back, only to run into the growth of the trucking industry. See: http://www.public-humanities.org/tjfall97.html Dutch-born Uriah Lott, who had secured the financial assistance of Mifflin Kenedy and Richard King in the building of the Texas-Mexican Railroad to Laredo, was also hoping to give the Lower Valley the same access to the ""outside world."" A railroad to the Lower Valley would also give Corpus Christi another rail outlet. In 1889, consequently, Lott received a charter to build the St. Louis, Brownsville and Mexico Railway. A.M. French, chief engineer on the project, ran several different lines to the river, but eventually agreed on a road that would join the Texas-Mexican Railroad some fifteen miles west of Corpus Christi at what is today Robstown. After sod was broken on the line on July 26, 1903, sweaty laborers set out hacking a right-of-way through the brush south toward the Lower Valley. See: http://riceinfo.rice.edu/armadillo/Past/Book/Part2/railroad.html A native of New York and a steamboat pilot and captain by trade, King came from Florida to Texas and the Rio Grande in 1847 for Mexican War service. Commanding the steamboat, Colonel Cross , he served for the War''s duration, transporting troops and supplies for the United States Army. He remained on the border after the Mexican War and became a partner in the Brownsville steamboat firms of M. Kenedy & Company (1850-1866) and its successor, King, Kenedy & Company (1866-1874). The principal partners were Richard King, Mifflin Kenedy (1818-1895) and Charles Stillman (1810-1875). These firms dominated the Rio Grande trade, on a near monopolistic scale, for more than two decades. See: http://www.king-ranch.com/sideshow1.htm Between 1862 and 1865 Stillman, King, and Kenedy transported Confederate cotton to Matamoros under contract for payment in gold. Stillman bought much of the cotton and sent it to his textile complex at Monterrey, but he sold even more of it in New York through his mercantile firm, Smith and Dunning. The United States government was a major purchaser. On one sale at Manhattan Stillman netted $18,851 on a gross of $21,504. His cotton buyers in Texas included George W. Brackenridge, and one of his major suppliers was Thomas William House [father of Col. E.M. House]. By the end of the war Stillman was one of the richest men in America. He concentrated his investments in the National City Bank of New York, which his son James later controlled, and supplied Brackenridge with $200,000 in the 1870s in order to establish the San Antonio National Bank. Stillman married Elizabeth Pamela Goodrich of Wethersfield, Connecticut, on August 17, 1849. He built a notable home in Brownsville in 1850 and lived in Brownsville and New York City until 1866, when he moved permanently to New York. He died there in December 1875. See: http://www.tsha.utexas.edu/handbook/online/articles/view/SS/fst57.html Henrietta King In 1854, King had married Henrietta Maria Morse Chamberlain, a Presbyterian missionary''s daughter. King Ranch Archives describe Henrietta King as mild-mannered with an iron will which carried her through the prolonged absences of her husband. She had been well-schooled, and was known to give polish and luster to her well-known, generous husband. She also proved she had fortitude, when, pregnant with her fifth child, she was present at the Ranch when the Union cavalry raided Rancho de Santa Gertrudis in 1863. Although the family moved to San Antonio following the raid, she moved them back in 1866 to continue the King family''s ties to the land. Upon her husband''s death when she was 53, Mrs. King controlled a vast area of South Texas and a business that was immensely successful, but not without problems. She immediately turned to Robert J. Kleberg Sr., a young lawyer who had been involved in the Ranch''s legal business for several years. She appointedhim business manager on Jan. 1, 1886; six months later, he became her son-in-law when he married the youngest King daughter, Alice Gertrudis. Under Mrs. King''s and Kleberg''s guidance, cross fences were built to divide the sprawling acres into manageable pastures. They embarked on a brush control program. They suffered through South Texas'' most crippling natural occurrence, drought. They helped to build the town of Kingsville in 1903-04. And continuing Captain King''s prowess in diversifying, the Ranch became involved in banking, lumber, leather goods, newspapers and publishing, retail businesses and dairy farming. Under her leadership and that of Robert Kleberg, the Ranch''s South Texas holdings had grown to 1.2 million acres, 94,000 head of cattle, 4,500 horses and mules, and 1,000 sheep and goats. Estate taxes, operational debt and lawsuits challenging the estate''s division caused uncertainty. In her will, she stipulated a 10-year trust to give her heirs time to settle differences and arrange her affairs and assets. Her ultimate goal was to preserve the King Ranch as a single entity according ""to my wishes and the wishes and views of my late husband, Captain Richard King."" In response, Alice King Kleberg, Henrietta''s youngest daughter and Robert''s wife, consolidated much of King Ranch by buying out other heirs. Thus, in 1934, Mrs. Kleberg created King Ranch, Inc., and it was this entity that inherited Alice''s part of the Ranch as well as the other property which she had purchased. She sold stock in the new corporation to her five children, and descendants of Robert and Alice Kleberg are the 60-some shareholders of today''s King Ranch. From a Family Business to a Corporate Environment. The last quarter of the 20th Century has brought further changes to King Ranch. Since 1977, all overseas ranching operations except for that in Brazil was sold. The King Ranch''s Corporate History statement credits James H. Clement and his successor John B. Armstrong with guiding the Company to eliminate debt and ""...through the difficult Texas business environment of the 1980s and (they) oversaw the painful, and sometimes stormy, transition from a family business enterprise to the present corporate structure with outside directorship and professional management."" Since 1988, the King Ranch Chief Executive Officer has not been a King family member, although the corporate board of directors still includes some descendants. By the early 1970''s, King Ranch holdings totaled, worldwide, approximately 11.5 million acres. In 1974, with the death of Bob Kleberg and Dick, Jr., in poor health, the Family selected James H. Clement, Sr., the husband of King''s great granddaughter Ida Larkin, as President and CEO. Together with successor John B. Armstrong (husband to King''s great granddaughter, Henrietta Larkin), Clement steered the Ranch though the difficult Texas business environment of the 1980''s. They also oversaw the transition from a Family business to a modern corporate structure -- based primarily on the lines of business established in the early years. Eventually, many of the foreign operations were liquidated as the focus shifted back to the traditional domestic lines of business. See: http://www.king-ranch.com/legend.htm See: http://archives.tamuk.edu/database/House.htm (Wedding Announcement - Henrietta Kleberg Larkin to Thomas Reeves Armstrong) Armstrongs mix gentility, old-fashioned Texas ranching Cowboys and candidates, princes and presidents have visited over the years By Mary Lee Grant © July 13, 1999 Caller-Times http://www.caller.com/1999/july/13/today/local_ne/3122.html ARMSTRONG - In the brush country south of Sarita, a few miles east of U.S. Highway 77, sophistication and political power have mixed with the independence of Texas pioneers. Here, 6-foot-4-inch Tobin Armstrong, the descendant of a Texas Ranger and a Yale scholar, and the petite brunette, Anne Armstrong, former U.S. ambassador to Great Britain, hold court. Guests at the 50,000-acre ranch have included former president George Bush; his son and presidential candidate Gov. George W. Bush, the Rockefellers and Prince Charles. Armstrong Ranch still is an old-fashioned Texas ranch, run by Tobin Armstrong, who oversees it by Suburban and mobile telephone. A colony of cowboys who live in houses surrounding the big house work the 2,500 Santa Gertrudis cattle while riding thoroughbred horses, the Armstrong version of cow ponies. ""One of the best things about this ranch is that it is a grandchild magnet,"" said Tobin Armstrong, who has five children and 12 grandchildren, who visit the ranch frequently. The Armstrong Ranch was purchased in 1852 and settled in 1882 by John Armstrong III, a Texas Ranger from Tennessee. He had come to South Texas to clean up the border and became famous for capturing the notorious outlaw John Wesley Hardin. His sons combined the sophistication of an East Coast education with the ruggedness of a ranch upbringing. Charlie Armstrong, Tobin Armstrong''s father, graduated from Yale in 1908 and returned to South Texas to manage the ranch. Charlie''s brother, Tom Armstrong, graduated from Princeton and Harvard Law School before going to work as an executive for Standard Oil Co. The Armstrongs were instrumental in bringing polo to South Texas, and when Prince Charles came to visit, Tobin arranged a match for him on the ranch''s polo field. ""I never rode a bought horse,"" Armstrong said. ""I raised and trained my own thoroughbreds."" Tobin Armstrong was tutored at home until he was 9, when he was sent to private school in San Antonio. He attended the University of Texas and Texas A&M University. Ties between the Armstrong Ranch and the King Ranch always have been close. Tobin''s older brother, John Armstrong, married the King Ranch''s Henrietta Kleberg, and his uncle, Tom, married her mother, Henrietta Kleberg Larkin. John Armstrong was the last family member to serve as president of the King Ranch. Despite the international circles in which they move, the Armstrongs are still ranchers to the core, talking of weather and rainfall as readily as business and politics. ""Look how green the grass is,'''' Anne Armstrong said on a recent hot day. ""We haven''t had it like this for several years. It will be good for the cattle."" Staff writer Mary Lee Grant can be reached at 886-3752 or by e-mail at grantm@caller.com ANNE LEGENDRE ARMSTRONG Armstrong, Anne Legendre (1927-...), was the first woman to serve as United States ambassador to Britain. President Gerald R. Ford appointed her to the office, which she held in 1976 and 1977. She had previously been the first woman to hold the Cabinet-level post of counselor to the president. She was named to that position by President Richard M. Nixon in 1972 and served under both Nixon and Ford. Anne Legendre was born in New Orleans and graduated from Vassar College. She married Tobin Armstrong, a Texas cattle rancher, in 1950. She served as vice chairman of the Texas Republican Party from 1966 to 1968. In 1971 and 1972, she was cochairman of the Republican National Committee. As counselor to the President, Armstrong was a member of the president''s Domestic Council, the Council on Wage and Price Stability, and the Commission on the Organization of Government for the Conduct of Foreign Policy. Source: http://www.secinfo.com/dScRa.6Mx.htm 1931. Following his election to the House of Representatives in November 1931, Congressman Richard Kleberg asked Johnson to come to Washington to work as his secretary. Johnson held the job for over three years and learned how the Congress worked. See: http://www.lbjlib.utexas.edu/johnson/archives.hom/biographys.hom/lbj_bio.asp LBJ was a sleeper put in power by the King Ranch, which as was shown in part I of this series, is closely tied to Anne Armstrong, is a director of Halliburton. In 1942 until he left public office, LBJ was financed completely by Brown and Root, now part of Halliburton. In 1960 LBJ was thrust upon Kennedy as his vice president so LBJ could carry Texas for Kenney. LBJ had proved in 1948 that he and his team could guarantee winning the Texas vote. In 1963 Kennedy was killed most likely by an assassination network operated by the King Ranch group and Clint Murchison in Mexico. Murchison was, of course, very close to Rockefeller. As soon as LBJ became president, he escalated the war in Vietnam, which primarily benefited Brown and Root. If this year''s election fraud is allowed to stand, what does Halliburton, headed by Dick Cheney, have planned for us? Although individual men die a generation at a time, networks of families live on. That is what Cheney represents. Thus it comes as no surprise to see what is happening in the presidential election is focused at the moment on Broward and Palm Beach Counties, Florida. A network such as Cheney represents is always prepared for any exigency. This same network was prepared to carry the vote in 1948 when Lyndon Johnson ran for the United States Senate. But Johnson was a Democrat, you say! Not so. He was an egotist and a pragmatist-- he did whatever he had to do to promote Lyndon. His opportunity to broaden his horizons came during the Depression, when he was offered a job in Congress working for a man, seemingly not unlike George W. Bush, a scion of a wealthy ranching family in South Texas with no real abilities or interests, who was elected to Congress on his name and needed someone to do the work for him--Congressman Kleborg. Part One of this series showed the history of Congressman Kleberg, and the King Ranch which his family owned--a ranch which was acquired with profits made from the shipping of contraband munitions during the Mexican War--a war orchestrated by persons who used Barbara Bush''s ancestor, Franklin Pierce, to take the land south of the Nueces River from Mexico after Texas was annexed as a state. The ranches in this territory, owned by Richard King, Mifflin Kenedy and their partner Charles Stillman, operated as a buffer between the U.S. and Mexico. Resentful Mexicans, who felt their land had been stolen from them, engaged in continual raids across the new Rio Grande border. To counteract these raids, the Texas ranchers used the Texas Rangers, commanded by William G. Tobin to chase away the raiding parties. Tobin''s family has continued its ties with the King Ranch family ever since. The Tobin family is intermarried with the King-Kleberg family and with the Armstrongs of San Antonio, Texas. From the present generation springs Anne Armstrong, who is a director of Halliburton alongside Dick Cheney. She has also served on the board of American Express with Henry Kissinger and Vernon Jordan--not to mention having been in London as Ambassador to the Court of St. James. British banking interests have been interested in the King Ranch since as early as 1882 when Mifflin Kenedy sold his adjoining ranch to a syndicate of Dundee, Scotland, called the Texas Land & Cattle Co., Ltd. (See The King Ranch Tom Lea). Within a year of that sale, King considered selling to the syndicate, but the deal was never closed. Another syndicate of unnamed eastern capitalists attempted to buy the ranch in 1907, the same year that Bostonian F.S. Pearson was involved in building railroads from Mexico through west and north Texas to connect to St. Louis. In 1902 the ranchers turned to B.F. Yoakum, friend of Uriah Lott, the creator of the Tex-Mex Railroad. As a result, a corporation was formed with shareholders including the Kings, Klebergs, Armstrongs, Kenedys and others--with Uriah Lott as president. The railroad became the St. Louis, Brownsville & Mexican Railway--which like so many other railroads built by Lott was financed by G.H. Walker & Co. of St. Louis. WAS LBJ A TOOL OF THE DRUG LORDS? Once Lyndon Johnson began to make himself heard in Congress, he quickly attracted the attention of Franklin Roosevelt. He was groomed for many of the endeavors he would use to make his name by FDR backers such as Joe Alsop, who had begun his undercover intelligence career in the O.S.S. Alsop and his brother Stewart were related to FDR by marriage on his mother''s side--the Delano family whose role in the opium trade has been documented previously on this website--as well as being the sons of Eleanor''s first cousin, Corinne Robinson Alsop . In fact, it was Joe Alsop who in 1963 repeatedly suggested to Johnson that the only way to keep the Washington Post off his back was to appoint the Warren Commission to investigate the assassination. The Alsop, Delano, Roosevelt and Forbes families of Boston and New York were interwoven by marriage and by financial investment in enterprises such as the Chicago, Burlington & Quincy Railroad. These families stem from a syndicate created by Thomas Handasyd Perkins of Newburyport, Massachusetts--forced out of the lucrative African slave trade to establish an alternative shipping empire based on opium. By the 1830s, the Russells had bought out the Perkins syndicate and made Connecticut the primary center of the U.S. opium racket. Massachusetts families (Coolidge, Sturgis, Forbes and Delano) joined Connecticut (Alsop) and New York (Low) smuggler-millionaires under the Russell auspices. http://www.tarpley.net/bush7.htm This account is supported by historical research conducted by John K. Fairbank in his 1968 article for the American Historical Association, posted at http://www.theaha.org/info/AHA_History/jkfairbank.htm . Fairbank indicates that the opium profits were invested in the Chicago, Burlington & Quincy Railroad and the Michigan Central. A man named John N. Alsop Griswold of New York, a Russell & Company partner at Shanghai, returned to become president of the Illinois Central in 1855 and was later chairman of the CB &Q. The CB & Q was, of course, based in St. Louis, and it constituted the northern extension of the same railroad that dipped southerly into Mexico through Kingsville and Laredo. It was financed by the same opium profits. See the NewsMakingNews article at http://www.newsmakingnews.com/lmharvardpart3.htm This railroad now stretches from Mexico to Canada under the control of the Burlington Northern Santa Fe. http://www.tmm.com.mx/english/ihistoria/inuevatmm3.htm This railroad was the primary beneficiary of NAFTA. It is also steeped in allegations of drug smuggling. http://www.mega.nu:8080/ampp/wardrugs.html and http://www.insightmag.com/archive/200007103.shtml Alsop was aided in his handling of Johnson by Floridian, Phil Graham, the son-in-law of Eugene Meyer--the only man besides Bush''s Uncle Herbie who is known to have invested in George H.W. Bush''s first oil company in Midland, Texas. In December 1959, in preparation for the 1960 election, Graham was already busy planning how to clinch the Democratic nomination for Lyndon. As soon as Phil realized that Johnson was not going to make it, he hatched the plan for Kennedy to select Johnson as his running mate. Johnson himself would later credit Phil with pushing Kennedy to choose him. He told biographer Doris Kearns Goodwin that Phil ""told Kennedy to make me vice president."" Once Kennedy clinched the nomination, Phil and Joseph Alsop hurried to his suite at the Biltmore and explained the virtues of Johnson as running mate....According to Pierre Salinger, John Kennedy''s press secretary, Phil [Graham] was one of the elite group of journalists--others were Ben Bradlee, Joe Alsop, Walter Lippmann--who could simply pick up the telephone and call JFK. They were very close. But the man who really gets credit for electing LBJ is usually said to be George R. Brown of Brown & Root. In the 1930''s the Brown brothers were in a two-bit construction business, paving the streets of small towns in Central Texas. Almost overnight, in 1942 after teaming up with Johnson, they won their first government contract to build a dam, then a naval air station in Corpus Christi, near the district Cong. Kleberg had represented. Their next opportunity was to expand into shipbuilding. By 1947 George Brown was placed on the boards of a number of multi-national corporations with interlocking directorates. During George Brown''s tenure on the ITT board other directors included Allan Kirby, an heir to the Woolworth fortune, Robert Young, a former stockbroker turned railroad tycoon connected with Allegheny Corp., and Robert McKinney-Young''s cousin-of Davis Manufacturing. The names Allan Kirby and Robert Young provide a strong clue to Brown''s other connections. Allan Kirby had had virtual control of Allegheny since 1937. Solomon Warfield had secured a number of shares of Allegheny preferred stock, ""issued in a storm of controversy by the banker J.P. Morgan, who was a chief investor for King George VI and Queen Elizabeth at the time they were Duke and Duchess of York,"" for his niece, Wallis Simpson (later the Duchess of Windsor), which she inherited upon his death in 1927. This stock had always been her ""first investment favorite,"" according to her biographer Charles Higham. When the Duke and Duchess became friends with Robert Young, allegedly after being introduced by mutual friend Robert Foskett after they moved to the Bahamas, Young and his wife Anita became one of their few close friends. Both Foskett and Young were directors of Allegheny and lived in Palm Beach, Florida. By 1941 Young owned a controlling interest in the Allegheny Corporation, a holding company which owned the Chesapeake and Ohio Railroad of Baltimore. In 1954, after a long proxy struggle, and with the aid of fellow Texans Clinton Williams Murchison, Sr., and Sid Williams Richardson, Young gained control of the New York Central and became the chairman of its board. On January 25, 1958, Young apparently committed suicide with a shotgun at his winter mansion in Palm Beach, Florida. http://www.tsha.utexas.edu/handbook/online/articles/view/YY/fyo12.html Before his death, Young had convinced Murchison to entertain the Duke and Duchess and their entourage at his secluded ranch in the interior of Mexico in January 1950. This is the same ranch that has been alleged to have been used as a haven for the assassination team which operated out of the King Ranch. http://www.newsmakingnews.com/torbitt.htm There was testimony given in a Texas murder trial that there were twenty-five to thirty professional assassins kept in Mexico by the espionage section of the U. S. Federal Bureau of Investigation; that these men were used to commit political assassinations all over North, South and Central America, the East European countries and in Russia; that these men were the absolute world''s most accurate riflemen; they sometimes took private contracts to kill in the United States; that the contact man for employment of the riflemen was a man named Bowen posing as an American Council of Christian Churches'' missionary in Mexico; that you could reach Bowen through the owner of the St. Anthony''s Hotel in Laredo, Texas. Albert Alexander Osborne, alias John Howard Bowen, alias J.H. Owen, a charter member and employee of the A.C.C.C., met Lee Harvey Oswald and accompanied him to Mexico City in late September of 1963. Osborne, alias John Howard Bowen, was discovered to have another person working with him who also used the alias John Howard Bowen. The second person also traveling as Bowen was Fred Lee Crismon, another agent for the munitions makers police agency, the Defense Industrial Security Command. Crismon also posed as a missionary and also used other aliases. Among the cognomens for Crismon were Fred Lee, Jon Gould and Jon Gold. Osborne and Crismon also bore a marked resemblance and appeared to be about the same age. Crismon was a Syrian immigrant and had been closely associated with Osborne since the 1920''s. Crismon, Osborne and their riflemen charges in Mexico were based at Clint Murchison''s huge ranch when not posing as missionaries in other areas of Mexico.

Jaime, Sorry I didn''t get back to you sooner. I have alot on my plate and not enough time to do it. Just out of curiosity, I did a google search on ""black helicopters"" and most of what I found dealt with conspiricy theories. The part that made me laugh was that in a few of these sites that had stories on ""black helicopters"", also had stories on the ""chupacabra"". Please tell me that you don''t believe that the two have anything to do with each other. You seem too educated to believe in that nonsense. As for your conspiracy theory, I can''t buy it. You have too many roads and not enough bridges to fill in the gaps. I''m not saying that you''re wrong, but you do seem too eager to think that the ""men in black"" are going to get us. You sort of remind me of a friend of mine that believed that the Pope had Lincoln killed and the Vatican started the civil war. He loaned me the book but I never read it. It just seemed too far fetched for me. By the way, thanks for the info on LBJ. It made for some interesting reading.

Re: Black Helicopters 4/20/2005 1:47:22 AM
Okay, Black Copters: I was there. It was not a training exercise. Bush came one or two days later. Fil the Mayor was ""touched"" by these guys. They intimidated him and he says to leave it alone. So I won''t. Many other occurrences have happened in Cleberg & Kenedy Counties. They have a common thread of Gary Bushell, Marc Cisneros, Karl Rove, the WIA (Ed Byrne Grant) & Military task force. The Black Copters have something to do with the FBI or an agency working with the FBI like the Border Patrol. John Hubert & his siter Patti Boothe and her Hubbie are all factors in the whole Federal Element swooping into South Texas. I beleive they operate out of California. I am not sure what county or base. Nothing to do with aliens or ""chupacabra"". Like I said I seen the Black Helicopters and they scared the hell out of Kingsville and the Mayor. Remember the Bombing Range Marc Cisneros asked KFATSO for the Land then himself became KFATSO & provided the 500,000 acres? The National Seashore & the South Texas Military Task Force? Tony Canales & the National Park Service? The Closing of the National Seashore 3 times a week wasnot eneough they wanted to close it down fully? Why? The U-238? What about Karl Rove''s $250,000 hunting lease on La Parra? Tell me why that is so conspiratorial?

Jaime, As I stated earlier, I''m not saying you''re wrong and I honestly do believe that some of what you''re saying has merit, but not all of it. I''m pretty sure that some of these events have a logical explanation. As for Marc Cisneros, I was unaware that he took control over the land for the bombing range. I thought it was part Federal and part private property. What does Karl Rove''s hunting lease and La Parra have to do with any of this? Thanks for the replies.

Black Helicopters 4/20/2005 7:50:35 AM
MArc Cisneros is CEO of the Kenedy Foundation (KFATSO). Prior to that he was pres at TAMUK & involved heavilyin the economic development commission in Kleberg & Kenedy County. The land was all Kenedy land. No federal whatsoever. The Bombing range in Viques was a pain in the ass for Rove and he thought he could quietly sneak it into La PArra but the community got wind of it and politicos all denied they were for the range. They were all trying to sell it. Karl Rove has a $250,000 hunting lease which shows direct affiliation with KFATSO & Cisneros. Why would he want to turn pristine hunting acres into a bombing range. The Caller times has articles on this as well as the Kingsville Record. Then there is the Armstrongs and they are the King Ranch & National Park Service. Keep on asking and maybe we can organize what I am trying to demonstrate. Right now I just have a lot of coincidental facts. Secrets are not kept in Cleberg County!

tiptoe through Kingsville, Cleberg County, Kenedy County and Land in Nueces County as the Ceo of KFATSO (Kenedy Foundation And Trust Soon Obsolete)? TAMUK President while Byrne Grant Influential Liason and City of Kingsville''s ""Undercover Operative"" as stated by Law Enforcement spokesman, "" he is now the CEO of a powerful religious organization? None are more powerful than the one who has the direct line to the Vatican; ours truly KFATSO. Now it come to mind. Kenedy Ranch & King Ranch are united for now. But remember Kenedy ranch''s showdown with the Border Patrol. There is where they differ from the Armstrong / King Ranch. The Ed Rachal Foundation figures heavily also! This is the time period when Cisneros slid from TAMUK to KFATSO CEO? HMMMMMM??????

Jaimeto & Propnut: Black Helicopter articles 4 U. I was there! 4/10/2005 9:34:15 PM
By David M. Bresnahan ĆÆ¿½ 1999 WorldNetDaily.com February 13, 1999 KINGSVILLE, Texas -- Local residents are distraught over a near disaster during a secret Army training exercise. Local officials claim they were sworn to secrecy. Getting factual information about what happened is next to impossible. Reports from residents told of low flying, unmarked helicopters and soldiers dropping down from ropes in the center of the town after dark Monday night. WorldNetDaily was told that the police station burned and a commercial building was severely damaged. The assistant police chief confirmed what no one else would admit. "The United States Army Special Operations Command was conducting a training exercise in our area," admitted Arthur Rogers when the police chief was unavailable for comment. He refused further details. That was more than Mayor Phil Esquivel would disclose. He said he was sworn to secrecy for national security reasons. His answers were evasive and without detail. When Esquivel was asked about damage he denied there was any. When he was told that damage was reported by a witness, he revised his comments. "If there was any damage done, they were going to repair it, but I haven't gotten an assessment of the properties," the mayor stated. He then admitted there was a fire, but would not comment on the cause or the extent of damage. Was there damage to a building? "Possibly," said Esquivel. "An abandoned building that was going to be torn down anyway." It was learned from another witness that the damaged building was a commercial building that is not going to be torn down. Witnesses reported that black helicopters with no identification markings flew into the city just after dark. They arrived in the center of the city, which had been evacuated by police. The secret training exercise lasted several hours. When it was over an abandoned police station had been accidentally set on fire and the Exxon building was badly damaged when one or more helicopters landed on the roof. Windows of buildings were also broken. "I live out in the country and they flew right over us and our house just trembled. That's how low they were going," said Thelma, a resident who would give only her first name. Esquivel claims he is just being a good citizen by not giving the details. He confirmed that he had granted permission for the exercise, but he refused to say how long ago permission was granted or which branch of the military was involved. "They asked me to keep it secret," repeated Esquivel several times. "I respect national security. It was very well controlled and no one was hurt. "It didn't expend city taxpayers dollars. It did not put citizens of Kingsville in jeopardy. The police department warned all surrounding neighbors. We're supporting national security." Many residents have been complaining extensively. In between life insurance sales appointments, the mayor has been fielding angry phone calls. "I'm glad that this gets out. This is total B.S. If we don't stop it now it's going to get worse," John Rohmfeld, who lives there, told WorldNetDaily. "Apparently this was a secret operation. "They meant to come in here and see what the hell they can get away with. I'm not going to let them get away with it," he stated. The mayor tells all the concerned callers the same thing: "It was a training exercise that would insure national security if we ever need it. It was asked not to disclose what armed services or what division of the armed services it was in, but it is supporting national security." There are 25,000 residents of Kingsville, a town near Corpus Christi and home of the Kingsville Naval Station. Residents are used to seeing military people around town, but not repelling down from helicopters. They want to know what happened in their town. Not knowing causes fear, and refusal to answer questions causes them to lose trust in their leaders. The local barber shop is usually the center of gossip and discussion of current events. The day after the exercise there were only questions and doubt, which were the result of no official word on what happened. "I don't like something like that. I don't like what was going on," said barber Joel Gant. For now, the questions remain. The army public relations officer failed to return calls from WorldNetDaily, and no one in an official position was willing to explain what happened. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ David M. Bresnahan, a contributing editor for WorldNetDaily.com, is the author of "Cover Up: The Art and Science of Political Deception," and offers a monthly newsletter "Talk USA Investigative Reports." He may be reached through email and also maintains a website. The Continuing saga.... FEAR AND LOATHING IN KINGSVILLE, TEXAS Local residents fuming over Army live-fire exercise By David M. Bresnahan ĆÆ¿½ 1999 WorldNetDaily.com February 15, 1999 A group of Kingsville, Texas, citizens now plan to pursue action against their city for permitting the Army to use live ammunition during an exercise in their town known as Operation Last Dance. Angry citizens are expected to crowd the next city council and county commission meetings, both scheduled to be held Feb. 22. At least one citizen is looking into legal action. Some residents said they were terrified when helicopters swooped into town from the Army Special Operations Command, Ft. Bragg, North Carolina, last Monday night. One helicopter hit a telephone pole, which started a fire and horrified residents who saw it happen. At least eight helicopters are reported to have participated in an assault exercise using live ammunition and explosives very close to innocent bystanders who were not warned of the planned action. Fire officials confirmed that they responded to the resulting fire, but had no warning that the exercise would take place. They were also summoned to put out a building fire caused by explosions set off during the exercise. It has since been learned from military sources that the actual group involved in the exercise is known as the Knight Stalkers, an elite group from the Delta Force. They are trained to conduct assassination missions, according to several retired military officers who had served in various special operations assignments. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ HAS THE MILITARY BEEN TO YOUR TOWN? If you have experienced military exercises in your town, particularly if you know about the use of live ammunition in a civilian area, please call or e-mail the details. Information about Delta Force activities, as well as Knight Stalker, would also be helpful. Send info to david@talkusa.com or call (801) 562-5362. ...and continues Monday, 15 February, 1999 Army continues it's 'attacks' on Texas coastal towns Friday, Port Aransas was struck Sunday, Calallen reportedly suffers same fate. By Steve Lane ĆÆ¿½ 1999 The Freedom Report This weekend, the Army Special Operations Command continued a live-fire exercise known as Operation Last Dance by staging "attacks" in Port Aransas and Calallen, both within a few miles of Corpus Christi. While the reports of the Calallen attack were still being received at press time and could not be confirmed, Port Aransas Mayor Glenn Martin was expressing his anger about the events in his town. "You can imagine my predicament. People were calling up asking about a bunch of black helicopters, " Martin said. "And I had nothing to tell them. The Army never notified me of anything." The Freedom Report tried again to contact the Public Information Officer for Army Special Operations Command at Fort Bragg, but as was the case the past five days, no calls were returned. Witnesses of the Port Aransas exercise said that black helicopters flew in low over town and stopped at a hover over some bulk fuel tanks adjacent to a ferry landing there. Then men were seen rappelling down ropes from the helicopters into a fenced area which surrounded the tanks. Soon, the men were quickly extracted leaving residents at a loss to explain what happened. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Ed.note: One day they are going to pick the 'wrong' town in Amerika to do these 'secret military operations' and the citizens of that town, fearing an attack, will start shooting the bastards down! Ask yourself just what scenario the military are preparing for? If they use the U.S. military against the citizens of this country, they will be usurping the 1878 Law of Posse Comitatus. I believe the Klinton regime knows there is going to be a civil war in this country when the people finally get to the point where they will take no more abuse at the hands of this corrupt jew controled federal government. Look at what is happening in our government right now. We can not even remove the most evil, vile, corrupt president this land has ever seen. Why? Because we have allowed evil, vile, self serving men to occupy seats in both the House of Representatives, the Senate and most political offices in our once great country... Most are not doing the will of the people whom they are supposed to be serving. They are serving to line their pockets with the hard earned money of the commoners, the working people of Amerika. The time is fast approaching that we again will be forced to either physically remove a corrupt beast system that has manipulated itself over Amerika, or resign ourselves to live as slaves. You citizens each will have to make that decision...

How soon we[I] forget. I do remember some of this crap. But I did know hear all of the details of the article. It shows that the our government has gotten way too much power of the citizens and guess who is to blame. It is very sad that our government cannot be trusted. It is also sad that our children/grand children are going to be faced with the possibility of some real serious issues with dealing with our corrupt gov officials. This is why the democrats are so hell bent on getting the guns out of the hands of the citizens!!!!!!!!! And I used to be on the same page as the democrats????????????? There is really not much diff between the two parties. gracias jaimeto

BNP, Hugo & Tony Canales bulldozed through Austin & pristine sand dunes! Posted on August 3, 2004 at 03:39:06 AM by Jaime Here is a little example of Tony Canales'' manipulation of Hugo Berlanga in the seat before Hugo set Capelo up to be a Fall Guy. Hugo helped get the drilling rights. Capelo got the Medical legislation passed. Then everybody was obligated (by ties to Dr. Hector) to vote for Barbara Canales. It did not happen. Just think if it did happen. Barbara & Hugo are good friends. The families are close. I overheard a conversation between the two families while I stood in line behind them at the courthouse. ENLIGHTENING! One other little thing: The King Ranch & the National Park Service are working together. King Ranch is under the National Park Service which ties in Tony''s ""Primo"" Gen.Marc Cisneros (KFATSO CEO). There is much more like the road from Kingsville to the Island. Like the connection to the Health System that KFATSO uses to hide some of the money. Texas Observer Political Intelligence: 3/15/2002 Barbara Canales-Black, who is running for the open Senate District 20 seat in South Texas, is co-owner of BNP Petroleum, which has recently begun drilling for natural gas on Padre Island National Seashore. Canales-Black’s firm quietly obtained the permit in February from the National Park Service, and the drilling has since become a hot issue in South Texas and in the election. She has three primary opponents, including McAllen State Represen-tative Juan Hinojosa, and a runoff is possible. (At press-time, the primary is still five days away.) Canales-Black is the scion of a well-connected political family and has been using her oil wealth to outspend Hinojosa three to one in the race. Her father is Tony Canales, Tony Sanchez’s private attorney. (Canales, you may recall, was the one who hired the private dicks involved in the embarrassing investigation–some say smear campaign–against former Secretary of State Henry Cuellar.) To access the site, BNP had to bulldoze a road through pristine dunes. The site itself is covered by a 1.7 acre well-pad made of crushed rock. As obtrusive as this is on an almost completely undeveloped national seashore, this well may be just the beginning. The company’s permit applies to a 1300 square-kilometer drilling area on the island, and BNP also has plans to do slant drilling–for oil, not gas–from the shore out into the bay and gulf. According to Erin Rogers of the Sierra Club, the company has benefited from the Bush administration’s ""streamlined"" National Park drilling rules, which do not require a separate environmental impact statement for each new well in a permitted drilling area. To add insult to injury, as recently as eighteen months ago the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service had planned to designate as much as 7,000 acres in the area as critical habitat for the piping plover, a threatened bird. This designation would have made much of BNP’s proposed drilling area off limits. But BNP came back with their own habitat study, which predictably recommended protecting a much smaller portion of the seashore. Backed by Nueces County and local Chambers of Commerce, the company successfully lobbied FWS to reduce the protected area to 2,000 acres. Replies: * “These Mexicans, we can buy them two for a nickel,” Tony Canales said in Spanish!.

Jaime, I find all of this pretty interesting. I''m not saying it didn''t happen but it does sound pretty strange. As for the road to the island, what does that have to do with any of this? From what I understand, the King Ranch was going to build a road to the island as long as the funds were matched from the State/County but it never materialized. I wish they would have built it. It would have cut my driving time down if it happend.
curmudgeonPosts: 3232

I was here . . . 4/11/2005 11:36:21 AM
. . . and it wasn''t strange at all. It was a special ops training exercise carried out using the old police station and the old Exxon buildings, both unoccupied at the time.

curmudgeonPosts: 3232

Nothin'' . . . 4/11/2005 1:54:59 PM
. . . and as far as the road to the island goes, they would have had to literally build a bridge from Kingsville to the island because of the low swampy land they would have had to cross. The cost was staggering. These two can find a conspiracy led by a gringo behind every bush . . . or is that Bush.

Something strange about this hushed public information! Check it out; dont take my word for it?

Nueces County inmates borrowing cell phones from employees 4/7/2005 2:02:06 AM
Also, there is a little matter at the Nueces County Jail regarding inmates borrowing cell phones from employees. I understand it is criminal to furnish an inmate with a cell phone? As I understand, two Sherriff''s employees have been implicated & terminated. Why was this not reported by our local media? I am sure they are aware. Why are the employees above indictment and charges? There needs to be accountability. Are there others who were guilty? Is this why no criminal charges were filed? Or was these employees set up to take the fall for superiors?

Those fat cops on the task force who run around in their very low-key black Crown Vic with the illegally tinted windows and all the crome stickers on the side finally found something they could do. They were guarding the wetback that was injured in the attempt to run the check-point at Sarita (Actually closer to Armstrong).

Re: The only place I seen it was on channel 10 4/8/2005 9:00:56 PM
I read about it in the paper a few days ago. From what I remember, but could be wrong, was that some law enforcement folks were at Spohn Hospital, guarding some Mexican national''s that were injured in a van wreck when they tried to out run the Border Patrol. Their vehicle was parked in the parking lot, Someone broke in and took the gun. There was supposed to be an alarm on the vehicle and gun container that didn''t go off or wasn''t activated. They were supposed to be veiwing the security tapes to see if they could identify anyone. Like I said this is what I understood, but I could be wrong.

Burglar takes weapon from task force truck Semiautomatic rifle was loaded, law official says By Aaron Drawhorn KRIS 6 News April 5, 2005 A semiautomatic assault weapon belonging to the South Texas Specialized Crimes and Narcotics Task Force was stolen from a marked truck Monday morning, task force commander Jaime R. Garza said. The AR-15 rifle was stored inside a locked task force truck, which was parked at Christus Spohn Hospital Memorial. Police said the .223-caliber weapon can hold as many as 30 rounds of ammunition and is the civilian version of the U.S. military''s M-16. Garza said the truck''s lock was pried open. The agent, along with U.S. Customs officials, had been guarding several illegal immigrants at the hospital while they recover from a serious traffic accident last week south of Kingsville. The loaded weapon was taken between midnight and 6 a.m., police said, despite an electronic security lock on the gun rack. ""We''ve never run across this situation before,"" Garza said. Two other vehicles in the parking lot also had been broken into, Garza said. He hopes hospital surveillance cameras will give them a picture of the suspect. The Kingsville-based task force is considering offering a reward for information that could lead to the suspect and weapon, Garza said

hire an illegal for protection of our borders 4/20/2005 10:07:05 AM
Cchwnn; exclusive fighting for illegal immigrates rights, Our government has spent so much time dealing with the issue of terrorist entering our country, que If it had an idea of what this people come here for. It is easy to say que the Mexican illegal immigrate comes here to work, that is a fact. Now if our government feels que some terrorist will entered our country via con estos, then our government should encourage esto Mexicans that do enter our county as watch dogs for us. Think about it, if our government claims que more than a million illegal enter our country, why not offer a reward to anyone who might have information on anyone that does not fit in con the bunch that are entering illegal. I don’t think que a real terrorist would do what this Mexicans illegals do to get in the usa. Just by looking at the terrorist that have come in to this country I don’t feel que they would be up to it… I could be wrong but lets ask our government how many possible terrorist have been caught up to know walking around south texas to get to new york or something like that …none. So lets increase our border security by hiring this illegals an pay them for any information they might have on any one that don’t fit in…. just a thought.

That is a fresh idea from over the border!!!!! I wonder why no one thought of that one before? Could it be that any Amercan visiting any border town such as Nuevo Laredo et al has to pretty much do the SAME thing??? Everyone has their hand out from the cops to the street kids there. How original that we import this fine tradition to this side of the border!! Bravo! /sarcasm off The answer is NO! I believe it translates the same in both English AND Spanish!!!! I seen TV 3 this evening and they were trying to sensationalize a Senator that I believe was standing up for the little people. When stopped he exits his vehicle to the rear and ask the officer the reason he is being pulled over. The officer replies that he crossed the white line and that was the reason. Then the officer proceeds to ascertain the degree (how dark)of the window tint. I consider that a aearch! Without permission? Channel 3 was wrong! Thank you Chuy for standing up for us. He was headed South in a High Profile SUV so the only thing they could have been looking for is $$$$$$$$$$$$$. Once again an example of Law Enforcement "Addicted to Avarice". Re: Yeah, and give the cop . . . 4/20/2005 2:16:10 PM
no, we have laws and we have to follow them. but if they search your car for no valid reason then you should inform them that you know your rights and tell them that you will not let them search your car and not just sit there and just follow orders from a peace officer that is there to serve and protect, not stop, search, and prosecute. and the cop should have given you a ticket no matter how submissive you were or are and you had to feel like you were in the hands of cop, you were the malible phlegm that builds up in his throat and he could decide to eject you or swallow your life away. of course this is a wild exageration because it was just a speeding ticket but it would be more comparible if you were going that fast in a school zone. you know humans by nature are not submissive, we are the dominating mammal because of that, and some people are dominated in sub-categories in the human mammal category because of lack of ""spine"". why do you think you are ""broke"" in the military? you are trained to follow orders without question and when that happens you have just become ""broke"" or dominated.

You should be a good little civilian and not ILLEGALLY tint your windows, if you don''t want to get pulled over. Your questioning the very fabric of society(which I don''t mind), sure tinted windows seem trival, but its the law. If you don''t like the law you can always work to change it. and remember, don''t question orders, you could get tasered if the Commanding Officer sees fit to do so. Re: Thank You Sen. Chuy Hinojosa for taking a stand! 4/20/2005 8:58:21 PM
First of all, Chuy isn''t standing up for the little guy. He is just having a tantrum. He is the big bad senator, who violated the law, albeit a minor law, who was ticked off that he was called on it. Secondly, while you may believe it is a search, the federal courts do not agree. Probable cause existed for the officer to check the tint, since he could not see through the tint that was well over the legal limit. Chuy, like all of us, have to observe the same laws that the legislature, of which he is a part I might add, adopts. He is just a patron going after the little guy, not standing up for them. He thinks he is above them. He does lie like a politician though...

Dont insult........ 4/20/2005 10:03:22 PM
your intelligence Guido. Those tint meters are an easy & efficient way of generating money for the local ""political bosses"" in South Texas. It is the quota system tweaked and then cubed. So is the law applicable to the darkness of window tint. Like Curmy said they do not pull the Pres or the Vice pres over for the windows that might as well be walls (as far as vision is considered). Several on the ""Hill"" are violating the Law as your interpretation implies. My windows were rolled down when they pulled me over to check? Whether he is throwing a tantrum or not he is still standing up for a group of people that have been subjected to the Corrupted Greed of Corridor Lawmen. God does work in mysterious ways? Sen Chuy Hinojosa is not the only one complaining about the Byrne Grant officers and interdiction. Educate yourself on the issue?

Re: Re: Thank You Sen. Chuy Hinojosa for taking a stand! 4/23/2005 1:46:41 AM
Here is my take on the issue. First of all this reminded me of the video durring the election of govenor Rick Perry with the trooper outside Austin. Chuy was doing nothing but trying to use his power and influence to intimidate the officer. Chuy was stopped for crossing the white line and the dark window tint. Simple. It was not racial or even drug courier profiling. Don''t read to much into things. He is lucky officer Magee gave him a warning. Maybe Chuy is sending a message to us. Remember it ws not long ago in the valley news, Chuy was linked to some campaign supporters who have been under investigation for drug trafficing by the federal gov''t. Ask yourself is Chuy really out for the little man or is this some form of campaign support. Remember Texas began the concept and practice of inercepting and getting the dope and dope money off the street. Every year other states have sent their officers to learn form agencies like the South Texs Narcotics Task Force. This is not some fly by night thing. And the best part is that drug courier profiling is OK by the gov''t and not considered racial profiling. The reality is simple if we loose drug interdiction then we can expect the illegal drug market to once again flourish. Right now we are putting a dent. It is no secret that HWY 77 and HWY 281 are known major drug trafficing routes into the US. It has been for over 15 years now. Hitting them where the money is hurts. Getting the drug money hurts more than the dug seizures. I have both stopped vehicles and recieved consent to search and have been stopped and searched (consent given). For those of us who toe the line then we have nothing to fear. But for those who have something to fear then you see the worry lines begin to raise. CMR CMR

Chuy Hinojosa is only one of many Legislators... 4/23/2005 3:26:19 AM
including the National Congress that want to end the Ed Byrne Grant & the fraud / corruption connected to it. Do you know this grant stems from the WIA welfare to work legislation of 1995-97? Chuey did nothing in violation during the stop. He only exercised his rights; probably moreso than an ordinary (not legally trained) citizen. If more people refused to be searched then they would not harrass multitudes to catch the few. I am against the traffickers and terrorists but not at the expense of the patriot act being used against americans who are not in posession of drugs with the intent to distribute, but they are seizing $$$$$$$$$$ & vehicles for a minute amount of Mary Jane (sometimes a seed) or money that a dog alerts to like less than 10K that might harbor a residue. Stashing of money to keep for themselves and sometimes even drugs to boot also. These guys are ""Addicted to Avarice"". Tim Knowell needs to check himself!

money rather than drugs? now you confirmed what i already knew its the cash from the profits of the drugs you want and not the ""interdiction"" of the drugs that give you the cash i bet you you profile where ever you are! courier profile? that is a new one, thanx for the insight! is that why he was stopped? so it was not the tint or ""white"" line? good to know it was a ""routine acceptable traffic stop!"" you can bet it will not be routine when you stop me... i''ve been accused of having an ""attitude"" but with the utmost respect!

Re: Re: Re: Re: Thank You Sen. Chuy Hinojosa for taking a stand! 4/25/2005 12:56:22 AM
It has never been a secret that interdiction targets both the removal of drug and the big hit to the pocket book of the drug leaders. When I went through drug interdiction training in 1996, I was shocked to learn of the most commonly used individuals for transporting the illegal drugs are women with children. The sad part is that it has not changed as far as the couriers. As far as using the word routine...I don''t believe in it. Just last week I was assisting another officer on a DWI stop of a 30''s white female with two young children in the car. When I was able to release the children to their grandparent not only did I find Rx meds in the front under the seat but was has tested positive as ""Meth"" near one car seat. The reality is that while profiling is a tool that has been used as a means of intelligence gathering, there is no such thing as routine and no amount of intelligence that will truely predict a specific behavior (esp when it comes to drugs). I don''t work traffic enforcement full time but I do average 6 - 10 stops per day and not a single one could be considered routine.

I didn''t have the slightest idea about Sidewalk. After being Cipherized a few times I came up with this list of attributes. *He hates inconsistancy, he will pounce quick if you leave an openining in your logic. *He hates racism and lies, as I dare say most of us have the same tastes. *He''s not shy. I have seen some uncalled for, vicious attacks against him in the past and he has done a commendable job defending himself. I did not think he was a professor though, at least not in English. His spelling is a give away on that. He is prolithic and voluminous with the vast amounts of information he processes, and we Threadsters are the benificiaries. I personally think Sidewalk missed his calling to be a journalist. He does more research than 98% of those who currently pass themselves off as journalists, that''s for sure.

My bet is car mechanic or something related to the automotive world. As for research, there is nothing Sidewalk does that cannot be easily and readily duplicated by perusing a handful of blogs every day. He is a great parrot, most his postings have little or no contribution from him. That being said, his topics do tend to be timely and relevant. Away from the internet, he would be a real pushover in a head to head debate. I will give him high marks for consistency and determination though. Sidewalk, I wish you could take compliments just 1/10th as good as you defend yourself from criticism. It is the sincerest compliment when those who are usually on the opposite side of the issues from you can still give you kudos, give you credit, and say positive things about you. To say you''re wasting time here is kinda a back handed insult to those who converse with you here. I''m devoting some of my sleep time to respond to you here, and I wish I had more of my precious time to be here, but I don''t. compliments thank you, they are all well apreciated. ""back handed"" compliments as you say, arn''t. I seriously HATE people who say, ""your wrong"" ""everything you say is wrong"" but when it comes down to it, they can''t even stay focused on a single topic long enough to finish a debate. Its like a kid putting their fingers in their ears yelling ""lalalalalalal I can''t hear you"" and its the most retarded way to try and win a debate. As for BlindBob... I can''t see ANY point what so ever, for posting that story, without the explanation. The whole point of the story is to call peoples attention to the intricasies of the english language... how can you do that without explaining it? Without the explanation its just a bunch of meaning less words... which is the point of the whole thing. Soo.... when he posts it without explaining it... and his wife comments on how she loves that story, it makes me think hes trying to post soemthing only a few people understand so he seems or feels smarter... I don''t know why he did it, I''m just guessing, and thats why I asked. And judging by his reaction I don''t think he intended on posting an explanation anytime soon.... but like I said, I don''t know, thats why I asked.

Your very welcome, Sidewalk. You do catch a lot of flak here. Some of it is undeserved and some of it is of your own doing. However, I do believe you don''t get enough credit for the good you do here. It''s nice to have the balance. As for ""back handed compliments"", please reread my post, it was about ""back handed insults"" (focus, focus, LOL). Your pursuits here are not a waste of time. You have helped broaden my outlook on things and thus I now see things in a more critical light. It''s kind of like ""What would Sidewalk say"". Watching your perspective develop has been a joyfull experince for me, as you have become more practical over time. Also, seeing your viewpoint on faith develop from total dismissal to acceptance of it''s benifits has been really cool. I have made it one of my endeavers to understand the unique phenomenon known as Sidewalk_Cipher. It has been both enlightening and frustrating. There are times I need to duct tape my head to keep it from exploding and then there are times when I couldn''t have said something better myself. The only thing I am absolutely sure about is it has not been a waste of time. Thanks, Mark

DON''T YOU QUIT! ~Anonymous (Submitted by Raynee) When things go wrong as they sometimes will, When the road you''re trudging seems all up hill, When the funds are low and the debts are high, And you want to smile, but you have to sigh. When care is pressing you down a bit, Rest, if you must, but DON''T YOU QUIT! Life is queer with its twists and turns, As every one of us sometimes learns, And many a failure turns about When he might have won had he stuck it out. Often the struggler has given up When he might have captured the victors cup; And he learned too late when the night came down, How close he was to the golden crown. Don''t give up though the pace seems slow, You may succeed with another blow, Success is failure turned inside out- The silver lining of the clouds of doubt. And you never can tell how close you are, It may be near when it seems so far. So stick to the fight when you''re hardest hit... It''s when things seem worst that you MUST NOT QUIT! ~Anonymous

Cost Of Living Now Outweighs Benifits 4/14/2005 1:38:58 PM
WASHINGTON, DC—A report released Monday by the Federal Consumer Quality-Of-Life Control Board indicates that the cost of living now outstrips life's benefits for many Americans. Cost Of Living Now Outweighs Benefits "This is sobering news," said study director Jack Farness. "For the first time, we have statistical evidence of what we've suspected for the past 40 years: Life really isn't worth living." To arrive at their conclusions, study directors first identified the average yearly costs and benefits of life. Tangible benefits such as median income ($43,000) were weighed against such tangible costs as home-ownership ($18,000). Next, scientists assigned a financial value to intangibles such as finding inner peace ($15,000), establishing emotional closeness with family members ($3,000), and brief moments of joy ($5 each). Taken together, the study results indicate that "it is unwise to go on living." "Since 1965, the cost-benefit ratio of American life has been approaching parity," Farness said. "While figures prior to that date show that life was worth living, there is some suspicion that the benefits cited were superficial and misreported." Analyzed separately and as one, both the tangible and intangible factors suggest that life is a losing investment. "Rising energy costs, increased prices on everyday goods and services, and the decreased value of the dollar have combined to drive the cost of living in this country to an all-time high," Farness said. "At the same time, an ever-increasing need for additional emotional-energy output, low rates of interest in one another, and the decreasing value of ourselves all greatly exceed our fleeting epiphanies." Experts nationwide have corroborated the report's findings. "The average citizen's lousy, smelly, uncomfortable daily-transportation costs rose 2.1 percent in January," Derek Capeletti of Wells Fargo Capital Management said. "Clothing costs were up 2.3 percent, reflecting an increased need for the pleated khakis, sensible sweater-sets, and solid ties we have to wear to our awful fucking jobs. And grocery expenses were up almost 4 percent, reflecting the difficulty that light-beer, microwave-burrito, and rotisserie-chicken makers have faced in meeting the needs of a depressed economy and citizenry." Capeletti added: "The benefits of living remained stable or decreased. Especially—surprise, surprise—in our love lives." According to the study, high-risk, short-term, interest-based investments in the lives of others cost thousands of dollars a year and rarely yield benefits, financial or otherwise. Although conservative, long-term partnerships do provide limited returns, the study indicates that they tie up capital and limit options. Child-rearing, a course taken by many people who choose to live, is actually contributing to the problem. "The fact is, the supply of Americans greatly outstrips demand," said Evan Alvi of the Portland-based Maynard Institute. "Americans seem to believe that minting more lives will increase the value of their own holdings. All they are doing, though, is inflating the supply and reducing the dividends paid by long-term familial bonds." Despite life's depreciating value, Alvi did not recommend that shareholders divest themselves of their holdings. "Limited dumping could result in a short-term increase in available resources for those who remain in the market," Alvi said. "However, it's a risky move that could affect perception of value, leading to mass divesture." Alvi added, "And let's not fail to mention that some religious experts say there are penalties for early withdrawal." http://www.theonion.com/news/index.php?issue=4115&n=1

Ahh, the onion. I was about to say that that''s the dumbest thing I''ve ever heard, but, it''s actually pretty amusing now that I know where it came from.

i like onions! but the cost of living is what a government? individual?political ideology? political action committee? or a appraiser of an individuals ""tangible"" assets accrual accounting add up to? the balance sheets always forget to add ""intangible"" assets how often is the ""act of GOD"" accounted for? only as a loss? an intangible is not an ""act of GOD?"" PRICELESS= KINDA LIKE THE VISA? LIFE is TECHNICALLY IS AN ""intangible""

If you read the artical you would know they DID add intangables in the study... such as finding inner peace ($15,000), establishing emotional closeness with family members ($3,000), and brief moments of joy ($5 each) But when the data was view overall the conclusion was... ""it is unwise to go on living."" Its a satire peice... It illustrates the mindset that results from looking at the world in a purly factual way. We have FAITH life is meaningful and ""worth it,"" but no factual proof.

Intangibles are stuff that isn''t tangible, but you do spend money to buy them. Examples would be copywrites and patents. I guess some intangibles that a person could use are joy, stuff like that.

Christus Spohn officials gave the Nueces County Hospital District a May 1 deadline to decide whether they will pay the hospital more for indigent health care. Spohn officials say they will put a $130 million-plus development project on hold if more funding isn't promised. "I regret that our extensive efforts to reach a solution for care of the poor in our community have been unsuccessful," Kathryn McDonagh, Christus Spohn president and CEO, wrote in a letter to the county, hospital district and Spohn officials. The "Renaissance of Memorial" hospital development project is planned to begin in July. mc dough cant believe we are stupid? she might be that studious of some guru that she hired for 16 mill to tell her she will win this futile endeavor someone find his name cuz he owes the irs!

@IWA.net or similar A system funded by SKE! The Nueces County emails end @ ESC.net as does the ME''s which is in the same parking lot / facility. Proof that the Hospital is not under the county and is a branch of SKE''s Will.
